This thing is great. Quick and easy to use, seems well made and definitely holds the camera securely when in place. Way easier to use than the clear plastic that comes with the Phantom. As a bonus, it doubles as a lens cap. Seems solidly built using a 3d printer.For the price, you can't beat the protection it provides.UPDATE 7/24 - Still working perfectly, but I noticed the seller has added additional images with a gold colored product. He seems to have corrected the only flaw I found with this - the cut out DJI logo on the front has the potential to let in dust. The gold version now shown doesn't seem to have the cutout. It is now perfect.UPDATE 10/2 - Still works great. No breakage or anything like that. I do notice that based no the temperature, it can be a tight squeeze to get on there, but it goes. No biggie. Still way better than the factory option.

The cover looks like it will work but only if you are not using any lens filter. It is a tight fit over the original lens protector glass only. There is no flexibility that will allow the use of filters unless your filters are flush with the lens itself. My polarizer and ND filter set has an outer elevated ring and the cap won't fit at all. After waiting for weeks to get it from China, this is a big let-down. At least it wasn't expensive. If you are using a filters, make sure they are flush with the lens all the way tot he end or this cap won't fit.They should state this little fact in the description to save buyers from wasting their money.

The items provided with the DJI to secure the gimbel are difficult to install, and you can't tell they are there via the screen as the lens is not covered. In fact, when I received my unit, the plastic part had come off during shipping.I like this part as it is easier (not easy) to install, protects the lens, and is obvious if you forget to take it off. With the original pieces, I actually took off with the gimbal locked, and almost crashed into a tree because I could not turn the camera to look down. This part eliminates that possibility.

DJI Phantom 3 Pro. The concept sounded good and I liked the idea of having a cover over the lens so I figured I would give it a try. However, right after opening the package, I noticed that the circular area that is supposed to fit over the lens appeared warped or a bit oblong. I attempted to place the device on my phantom and even with a bit of squeezing to try to make it round to go over the lens, it wouldn't fit. Maybe, if I squeezed and pushed really hard I could get it on but then I don't think I could get it off too easily. The cap is a hard plastic and does not have much play. I think I will look at purchasing a normal lens cap and keep using the gimbal stabilizer that came with the phantom. That seemed to work best on my Phantom 2+. 3D printing is not quite there to be used in products such as this.

I bought this from rctoybest, from china. It's a 3D printed part, which appears to be a super awesome item. But the printed item they send me was super warped and will not fit on the lens. I could probably put this in the oven and re-mold it to fit my lens, but I didn't buy the item to have to re-mold it. The company has responded, but it's broken english and they keep asking for photos, over and over.

I have the DJI Phantom 3 Pro, and thought this lens cap would be great... but it doesn't fit at all! RUN, don't look back! It is too small to fit the camera lens. It appears to be a 3D plastic piece... concept is great... but the margins are wrong and it is therefore useless.

At first I thought this was a great design, much better than the odd thing DJI gives a person to hold the gimbal still. But, It broke in about two weeks, broke by itself while on the lens, while I was driving with it in the case in the back of my car! Road vibrations broke it, it's that crappy. Computer printed stuff is not sturdy!

Protects the lens while replacing the factory gimbal lock. It's both easier and more intuitive to secure the camera with this than with the gimbal lock that came with my Phantom 3.Don't expect it in a hurry, since it ships by China Post.
