Ion iCade Mobile Game Controller for iPhone and iPod touch

There is a reason this item is marked down 90% off.... it does not work well. The price is cheap enough that a return is kind of not worth it as it may one day make a nice backup remote after you realize that this one just doesn't cut it. The game pad does not have an analog stick so that wont work for many emulated games.... but the severe issue that I had is that there is a noticeable delay in the button presses and the response time on the device. This prevents me from being able to pull off any combo moves or any moves that require specific timing. After this I picked up the G910 Wireless Bluetooth Gamepad and have been extremely happy with that remote.

If you can pick this up for $15 or less, it would be 5 stars for me, if it was a bit more, I don't know. My kids loved the one I bought so much I had to order a second. The second one would not turn on, so after a return and a reorder, we now have two that work. The old games work so well with it, all the Atari ones from the Atari app. And some other games have been able to make work, but there is no great way to keep map anything like Minecraft Pocket to work with it. Size wise it is not really pocket size. It adds a lot of bulk, but is still comfortable in the hands.

The workmanship of this device is fantastic. I love how you can twist the iPod 90 degrees for different games. The problem, however, is that there is a very slight latency between button presses and what goes on onscreen. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's noticeable.

which made me sad the fact that all games are not suable with it. battery compartment is hard to open and close. material is so so

We spent hours following the directions provided with the Hand-Held Gaming Controller -ICG07 to try to get the "bluetooth" feature to work. (Note: I teach computers) Had my grandson (17 years and a constant gaimer) try with no luck -- sent it home to Florida where my grandson Cameron lives to see if his mother could connect ICG07 to his iPod touch -- to no avail. The called Amazon to get label to send back for refund - (within the 30 day return policy) Contacted Amazon Customer sevice and they said that they would have Amazon's sub-vendor send label for return. Todate no action and label has not been sent to my dauther-in-law to return product. I order considerable merchandise from Amazon and have very high reguard for the GREAT customer service which has become Amazon's hallmark -- but have great disappoint in this case. Please give some help in this purchase.

Bought this controller expecting to be able to play it out of the box with good input. Turns out it doesn't work for any of the games and just acts like a Bluetooth keyboard is connected instead of an actual supported controller. When i did get it working with the games I wanted, it didn't feel comfortable in my hands as opposed to the on-screen controls. Though i have to rate it 3 stars because it actually functioned and it wasn't that much.

I only have two complaints: 1. You have remove your casing from the iPhone to fit it in the iCade holder (you don't have to put it in there if you don't want though). 2. There is only around 100 games it's compatible with. This isn't Ion's fault. The companies making the games need to make it compatible. Try Dynamite Jack of Double Dragon Trilogy with it. Works great!

Unless you like throwing good money away. This may be a good product if more games supported this device. But s it stands great idea with poor execution, and that explains why I returned my product for a refund.
