Very sturdy and well made. Goes through the apple without problems. Blades are very sharp. It has a protective cover for storing, to keep fingers safe when going into drawer where it's stored.

Its a nice cutter, very well made. The only problem that it doesnt cut apples till the end, its about 1 mm left uncutted and I have to pull apple segment out. Also a bit hard to remove middle segment from the cutter.

Apple cutters are a life saver when you have little ones, like to bake with apples or if you are just and apple fanatic. The apple cutter slicers them evenly as long as you line up the core and give it a small start. This apple cutter is not extremely sharp like others I have had in the past. Once you start slicing you have to follow through evenly or else will come off center. The product itself has a plastic clear body with metal blades and rubber handles. The handles sit high is this is why you have to give a head start before you completely go through the apple. I am assuming they made them high so your don't smash your knuckles once you slice through, unlike the flatter versions, you need to use your palms. I gave it 3 stars because the plastic makes it less durable than the full metal body ones. Eventually all the plastic models tend to break, or crack.

Not sure if this is warranteed and I can get a replacement?The unit cuts quite well but broke 3-4 months after arriving.
