Great product
This is a great product for a portable off grid application. I mounted it to a two wheeled dolly and plumed hot and cold spigots as well as the shower head with a box for a battery and 20# LP tank attached. The intake comes from a water tank. I may need a bigger tank, or more likely, more frugal with the on/off switch because this obviously draws more water than gravity feed. It heats water as advertised and worked great in my off grid showering and dish water application. I had to preheat the incoming water by drawing and filling at the same time to get water hot enough for dishes. The warmer the incoming water the warmer the outgoing. I am no plumber but I got it done with some DIY plumbing products now on the market. I am very happy with the flojet pump and the eccotemp L5 water heater, this is a great product for the price.

great little shower
I bought and used this recently for a camping trip with a large group of friends at a site that had only a cold water shower. It worked extremely well.My only complaint is actually that water gets a bit too hot. I was concerned after reading reviews of these sorts of machines that you might need to cycle the water through a storage container to incrementally increase the temperature. We had the opposite problem. We had to keep the water temperature at the absolute lowest setting. So, I'd suggest caution with the temperature controls, as I imagine the water can be scalding at the higher setting. If you do use it in a mobile situation, like we did, I would suggest hooking to an upright dolly or cart, where you can put a propane canister below. The handle was the exact dimension to hook around the back of my dolly, so it was very easy. This heater comes with the water pump too. You'll need to make a trip to a hardware store to get all the tubing and connectors you'll need, as well as a 12v power source like marine or car battery.I highly recommend this product.

Warm Water Adequate for Emergencies or Camping with a little work
I purchased and received the bundle in good time.First impressions:Upon opening the pump, I removed the plugs where the the water connections are supposed to be inserted and water came flowing out. My first thought was, "is this a used pump or was it tested prior to shipment"? However, all the components are included with nothing missing.I opened the box of the Water Heater and upon inspection discovered something similar. There was some green indoor outdoor carpeting stuck to the end of a screw on the back side of the unit and one of the fittings (for the propane) had already been installed prior to my receiving the package.Again, upon inspection, all the components were included.Eccotemp Water Heater:Anxious to try the water heater, I attached all the connections to the unit per the instructions using the sealing teflon tape and hung the unit up beside my pool. I attached a 20lb propane tank to the regulator connection and followed the step by step instructions for operation of the unit. Please note that at this time, I did not have it attached to the Flojet Pump. As soon as I turned on the water supply, the unit sounded like there was water spraying somewhere inside and water was pouring out of the bottom of the unit. The igniter would not start properly and the water temp was barely warm. After several attempts at trying to re-connect and retest everything I decided to take apart the "6 ft Upgraded Stainless Steel Shower Hose". I was not surprised to find out that the hose had internally ruptured and was the cause for the water pouring out of the bottom of the unit. The upgraded Stainless Steel hose is CHEAP! After a trip down to Home Depot to buy a real Stainless Steel Shower Hose (additional $19.98 + tax) and another re-assembling of the connections I tried again. This time with success! The igniter started properly and the water came out warm/very warm (not hot) but was not super consistent. It is adequate though. Connection leaks were minimized to tolerable sizes.FloJet:I still have yet to connect and review this but will update this review soon.

However it has so far (3 weeks) worked excellent! It is a little touchy on getting temps ...
I was hesitant to purchase such a low end water heater. However it has so far (3 weeks) worked excellent! It is a little touchy on getting temps adjusted and staying adjusted. You will need to make a few adjustments during your shower. Children should be supervised carefully so as not to get burned/scalded. This unit can get very hot. It is still cool here 50-70 degreesF and I have been using the unit on very low settings. All in all well worth the money.....I went back and bought another one.

Pump doesn't work
I can't really comment on the tankless water heater because the pump doesn't work. I've tried contacting the manufacturer several times with no success. I would never buy this pump again obviously. Once I get a pump that works, I'll happily review the actual heater.

Best deal going for hot water, you want be sorry.
Awesome alternative for a water heater as we are using it for our hunt camp and it provides both hot water for our shower and for cleaning camp dishes, The system worked flawless and was very simple to assemble.I fully recommend this system for anyone doing any type of camping or away from the norm of life I.E. a hot shower. There is NO wait period for water to heat up you just turn on the shower head and there it is.
