Best option for field portable teleprompter
This is the best design for a portable and budget friendly teleprompter. The design to use the filter threads is genius! No more bracket system or having to align the lens with the glass. Setup is quick and painless and is light enough you can use it in selfie mode. I got the teleprompter with the remote and cleaning kit. The remote is great to have to play/pause and speed up or down the text. App is easy to use and I LOVE the dropbox option to port my files in from my computer. Since you are using your phone the brightness is great outdoor. This is a must have for speeding up your video production and not having to memorizing scripts..

I'm very happy. This is a simple product that works just as described. It is not clear how the product can be used effectively without the Bluetooth remote that controls the scroll speed. I did order that, which was fortunate. Be aware that you need to set up a Dropbox account (for free) and that the file needs to be plain text, so you will need to copy/past from your word or other format or just type text directly into the file. Access to the Dropbox file may be affected by your cell phone signal or WiFi. I did notice that the remote controls more than just the Parrot app. It can be used to start and stop music playback on the phone, too.

Why don't they update their product to use the latest phones out. Great concept and great for travel but the remote is dated as it only links to iphone 5 and under. DUH !!!!!!!!!! Wish I would have known that before the purchase. Are u Kidding ME? Nonetheless, if they updated it to use the latest iPhone and iPad it would be great....

Easy to set up, perfect addition to my production gear
This is exactly what I needed. I already have a larger teleprompter and was looking for something more portable. I was able to set it up on my Canon 70D in a couple of minutes, downloaded the free app and tested it with my android phone. I paired the remote and it worked!! I'm looking forward to actually using it in a production.

Even that is easy to install and use
I think that the price is a little expensive for what you get. Even that is easy to install and use, the remote control didn't work in the middle of the video shoot. : ( I tried and seems that sometimes works and sometimes don't. So you can imagine how frustrated I feel. I wrote to the seller explaining the situation to see what else is possible here, maybe replace the remote control instead of returning the item, and I'm still waiting for a response.

I used an LG5 phone in the teleprompter and it fell out a couple of times when we moved the camera slightly. It may be the design of my phone that caused the phone to slip out quite easily. Luckily the phone remained intact. Place something below the teleprompter to catch the phone softly if you are concerned it may happen to your phone.
