Great glove...but
These are great gloves, but they aren't sized for everyone. They don't fit my larger hands. For smaller hands...well, they might fit like the perfect glove.

Fear Not! (unless you need them mostly for cast iron)
I love these gloves! So much more convenient and usable to me than the "mitt" type silicone I used previously (and those were a big step up from the old-fashioned fabric-y ones, so it's all going in the right direction, it seems) I see some very mixed reviews here; it seems people either love them or hate them (although almost all wish the fingers were a bit longer?)It appears the people who warn of them not being heat resistant enough and possibly dangerous almost all used them with cast iron or super heavy items. And my own test confirmed this fact - I used them quite a few times over the last week. I used them for removing many cookie sheets of things like fries and other baked goods, a cake pan, a 9x13 glass pan with some meat and potatoes and a casserole in it - all with absolutely no issue and at the most a slight warm sensation if I had to hold the item for a longer than expected period of time. However, I did then cook something in the oven in my cast iron skillet for about an hour and when I went to remove THAT, full of food, and therefore even HEAVIER, then I did notice a disconcerting heat exchange! I won't be doing that again. especially if trying to do it with one and therefore putting ALL the heat and all that weight on ONE glove.I will say I personally very rarely use my cast iron compared to the rest of my oven items, so these will work for me great at least 98% of the time. I will just remember in that one certain instance where I might have to have full, heavy, longer contact with 450 degree cast iron, that the mitt with the insulating layer might be a better bet than these. But for the rest of the time, these will be my go-to oven handlers! For anyone whose needs are like mine, fear not! I feel secure with these with anything except my cast iron at above 425 :)

Best way to hold hot meat
Just in time for Georgia spring grilling season to get going, I found the X-Chef Silicone Oven Mitts, and I could not be happier.I had a perfect opportunity to test them out the first evening on my grill, working with some steak we planned on using for on top of a salad.I grilled as I normally do outside, and when it was ready to come off the grill, I placed it in and wrapped it in foil as I usually do to rest. Rather than put the wrapped steak on a plate to bring inside, I just carried it in with a gloved hand. Neat! But the fun didn't stop there. When it was time to slice the still-hot steak, rather than use a fork to hold the steak in place, I kept the glove on my left hand, and used my carving knife to make great slices. It was so much easier to do, having a nice firm grip on the steak with the silicone mitts than it had ever been without, and I have no idea why I waited so long to get a pair of these.I am looking forward to using these with a whole chicken, pulling pork and handling any other large cuts of meat that were always tricky before. What I like:Fit - perfect for my hands. possibly be a bit small if you have really big hands, but they seemed like they had plenty of room for most.Texture - the hearts were cute, but also provided a nice gripCleanup - the silicone cleans up easilyDurability - the silicone seems supple right now, I will update over time if they break down, the overall thickness is a good balance of protection and being able to work.Nothing to complain about right now.

They work
They work well carried RIGHT out of oven to home next door a casserole no problem and no heat transfer constantly being used over my regular cloth oven mitts

Work for what I need
I bought these because I wanted an oven glove that was waterproof so I can pick up hot roasted foods like roasts and turkeys. For that they work great because they have grips that keep the food from slipping. They don't work very well as an actual oven mitt. You need to put the pan down pretty quickly or you will feel the heat of the pan through the glove. I can't comment on whether they work for taking a screaming hot cast iron pan out of a 500 degree oven, but if you must use these for that, please be aware you must set the pan down very quickly. Not a bad product for the cost.

Great Med-High Heat Protection
Great fit, easy to clean, good texture and feels like quality silicone. The mold around the fingers are very flexible allowing you to do more precision tasks while wearing the gloves. One major down-side is it doesn't block heat very long. Wearing these to protect your hands while you scrub down a hot grill or turn some skewers works great. In my case I have a couple steel trays that rest directly on the grill for roasting veggies. I usually take these directly off the grill and carry them into the kitchen (about 50 - 75 feet). By the time I walk to the kitchen my hands are getting very hot. I've also used these to remove meat from a metal rotisserie setup in my grill. To do this I have to pick up the hot metal rod, undue the clamps holding the meat in place (also very hot), untie and loosen the meat, slide it off the rotisserie then transfer to a serving plate. Again, if I don't do this quickly things start to heat up pretty quickly. My fear is one day I won't have a clear path to the kitchen or get "stuck" performing a task, start to burn my hands and have to drop whatever I'm holding.Did not have this issue with my previous "mitten" style gloves. I think that having individual fingers works great for flexibility and dexterity but makes it a little less heat resistant. I think they're fine if you're simply grabbing things in and out of the oven working with 400 degree metals or less. It's when working with metal surfaces in direct contact with flame, 400 degrees+ that I start to feel the heat after a little while.Overall, I do like working with these because they allow me to do more precise things like use a knife, or plate food but I have to be very quick doing so.
