This is ALOT easier to read then the test stripe. I have three different makes, and they all give slightly different readings making it harder to get an accurate readout on how much of a product I need to add to my pool.Do yourself a favor and spend the $1 or $2 extra dollars on this test kit and don't waste your time or money on the strips.

First time maintaining a pool. With this kit and a few YouTube videos, I was able to turn dark green water to crystal clear.

I broke my previous kit (not meant to be dropped from 4 ft on rock), and ordered this exact replacement (ready for new drops anyway). This is the best kit as far as I am concerned. It's hefty, easy to read and it and the drops store in its own sturdy box.

Purchased for my hot tub. Instructions were clear and I was up and running with it in no time. Lacks "Calcium Hardness" and "Total Bromine" tests, so I have to rely on other kits for that. The bottles and cheat sheet card are resilient to water, but not waterproof. The cheat sheet also lacks a recommended Total Alkalinity level but includes it in the full manual (80-100ppm).Minus 1 star because the pH test doesn't instruct you to swirl after adding 1 drop of #4 (chlorine/bromine neutralizer). However, I discovered that this was a vital step or else the pH will show as purple which will be interpreted as "extremely high". I put a LOT of acid in my hot tub trying to get the purple to come down, when I later figured out that it was never going to not be purple until I started swirling the #4 before adding the #2 (pH indicator).I ended up using a pen to add the missing information to the cheat sheet card. Overall a great kit!

I've been using this for about a week now. So far so good. I initially thought it would be overly complicated but I've found the testing to be very easy and only takes a few minutes.I'm not sure how long the reagents will last, I suppose it depends on how long your season is and how often you test. My plan is to test every day if possible so I can get a better idea of how the pool chemistry changes.I'm very confident with this kit I can keep the water in good condition. This kit does lack the ability to perform a FAS-DPD test which after doing some reading I found I needed. That cost me another $20 to get as an add on from Taylor. They make kits like the 2006 which are a lot more expensive, $60 but have the extra test available.Still I'm very pleased with the ease of use, price, and condition of this kit. I might upgrade to a higher end kit once I use this one up now that I have a better understanding of how they work.

My qualitative analysis prof would like this kit it has stuff you can use to find out the quality of your water. Keep it away from your kids they will want one of their own.
