Very useful and well-built
These are a great way to add DMX to inexpensive rolls of RGB LEDs. I made flat-panels and up-lighting for a drum riser and it's great to be able to control them from the same software.

Works great except for those green connectors
It works great via DMX and responds very quickly. The only thing that I hate were the green phoenix connectors were you have to tie down a tiny little screw that barely holds any wire. I really wish they used push-button terminals or larger screws to hold in the wires alot tighter. Although I did like the fact they included a pair of xlr connectors.

I received the version with screw lugs rather than the phoenix plug as shown. Install tomorrow, no time to mess around with an return/exchange. Please change the picture or send the right ones in the future.

I'm using 2 of these in a large church to control LED strips I mounted near the ceiling. 6 months and no problems.

Check Your Decoder & LED Lighting Specifications - This unit does not output three RGB channels of 12vdc LED
Be careful that the decoder matches your LED lighting technology. The two that I purchased from Joyland did not work. The unit that I needed was to decode the DMX signal into a three RGB channel to a 12vdc analog signal which these decoders from Joyland did not do.

i have had two just quit working. it is a cheap way to run an LED rgb strip light from a stand alone console.never ever connect in line with working dmx fixtures. I took out a moving head connecting this. maybe because this has a 12 volt power connected to it that back feed the moving head.

Fine for the home, not camera safe.
Cheap RGBW control. These are definitely not camera safe. Perhaps for deep background work but we've seen on camera flicker closer up with cellphones, Sony A7s and Arri Alexa cameras. We will be swapping these for Litegear products.
