Tight fit! Although it was cold when I installed them.
Otherwise, they work great. This model doesn't have the relief hole in the side that tell you when it is full enough. The small downside is that you have to watch the piston to see when it starts to compress the spring. The huge upside is that you don't have grease oozing out the hole - getting on the wheel, and gunking up the bra (optional cover). Actually, I used these along with the inner bearing stainless steel seal conversion kit Bearing Buddy sells as well. For that, these are a must to apply positive grease pressure to the inner seal. If you are dunking your wheels in water, either puddles, lots of rain, or on a boat trailer - these along with the inner seal conversion kit are a must. NO MORE grease leaking and messing up the back side of your wheels - and NO bearing failure - ever!

Buddy bearings
Bought this for my boat trailer and they worked great! Make sure to pack with grease to keep water out.

The Original and Premeir Brand is still the Best!
There are imitators of respectable quality, but why bother. This is the real thing for a few dollars more. Bearing Buddy has maintained their quality. I maintain 14 trailers for myself and my charity. I would recommend them as a good investment on any trailer, marine or otherwise. In marine use, Bearing Buddies should be pumped with grease until full, before and after each submersion. Any evidence of water being ejected means the seals are bad and should be replaced before any extended mileage on the trailer. If properly maintained, with bearing buddies, the bearings will last indefinitely. Gently overfilling the the bearing buddy until old grease is displaced through the bearing buddy seal, allows inspection of the old grease and any incursions of contaminants like water.Investment in bearing buddies costs a small fraction of the cost of a single bearing replacement, that is likely to result in a breakdown on the road with a ceased bearing. After 40 years of towing dozens of trailers, I regard it as foolish not to have bearing buddies on all trailers. As a safety side note. I have changed over the hitch couplings on all my long haul trailers to Hammerblow Bulldogs, at my first convenience. Bulldogs are the only reliable couplings. I have never had one "jump off" like the cheap sheet metal coupling hitches that all trailers are factory equipped with. I have had several dozen decoupling, only saved by the safety chains, when relying on factory original, stamped metal couplings. The Bulldog never fails. It is indestructible robust cast metal, and unmistakable if it is properly secured or released for decoupling. The bulldog is easier to operate and infinitely safer from decoupling. If you tow on the highway, a Bulldog coupling is a safety must.Disclaimer: I have no financial interest in the endorsement of either of these products, and share these experiences solely in the interest of highway safety.

Fits, and works!
These stay put in my boat trailer hubs. They were a bear to drive in. I used a 3 pound sledge and a 2x4 to install them. I was uneasy about having to drive them that hard, but I suppose that means they’re unlikely to fall off. My hubs were brand new, so there was not a rust or contamination issue. 5 stars for quality, 3 stars for price.

Should save me much more than what they cost
I was replacing bearings every year; and hearing them way before that. I installed the bearing buddies and spindle seals and I think it will take care of the problems and keep my bearings lasting for several years. If I get two years out of them, they have paid for themselves, especially if they keep my from a side of the road breakdown. Easy to install and maintain.I installed the buddies when I replaced my bearings, filling up the cavity in the hub with as much grease as it would hold to make filling with the buddies easier. I used a large wooden mallet to install the buddies. A small block of wood and a regular hammer would do the job as well. I drove the boat and trailer around and refilled a couple of times to get the air out. I would suggest carrying the grease gun with you for a few trips and filling at the ramp before dropping the boat in to get rid of any air that might still be there. At the same time, be careful of over filling. I have a small grease gun that has marine bearing grease in it for just taking care of the trailer.

Beats pulling the drums every few weeks to repack the bearings.
I wouldn't consider owning a trailer, especially a boat trailer, without bearing buddies. Bearings last considerably longer when they're kept lubed appropriately. The design seems to work well and will stand up over the years. I have an old set that came with a trailer that likely have been out in the elements for a decade and still working well. Anything that reduces the frequency that I'm repacking bearings in the driveway when I could be out on the water is a win in my book!

As expected
What can I say - Bearing Buddies have been around for many many years. I recently bought a 1996 Bayliner with no documentation on the trailer. To me Bearing Buddys are cheap insurance against trouble on the road, since the nearest body of water is 80 miles from where I live. Had a little problem figuring out the exact model to get, but called Bearing Buddy and they confirmed that I had selected the right model. Their technical support folks were courteous and knowledgeable too. Best price & free 2-day shipping with Amazon Prime - as expected.

Perfect fit, great product
Perfect fit to my trailer hubs after one of my zirc fittings broke off of my old bearing buddy. Too bad that was a pressed fitting and could not be replaced so I ordered these. They arrived as the stainless steel version and were a great value and fit.

Where have these been all my life???!?
This product is officially amazeballs. I had some trepidation on buying these as I wasn't 100% certain that they would fit my application, especially with the claim "If your outer bearing race is just under 2", this is the correct fitment for your trailer." Except, that is exactly correct. These fit perfectly, the instructions on use were easy to read and understand, and during installation, everything worked exactly as advertised. I will recommend these to anyone, whether or not they have a trailer!

No cover caps
The bearing buddy is supposed to keep the grease under slight pressure for the wheel bearings. The product looks fine but is exposed itself with no caps supplied, nothing to tell you they are not included or where to get them.

Great Product!
Great product! Been using them for 6 years. Follow the directions - do not over fill/pump. As pressure/heat builds during long travel you may get a little grease leaking - Keep the cover cap on to catch any grease. remove cover cap once in awhile and let the inner grease nipple area dry - clean the dust out. Great product! The pressure 24/7 will keep water out of your bearings! This is good!
