Barrington Hardwoods Purpleheart Lumber Board - 3/4" x 2" (4 Pieces) (3/4" x 2" x 24")

Barrington Hardwoods sells the quality hardwoods that I use for my fledgling cutting board business. I have very minimal prep with their hardwoods. The variety of affordable exotic and domestic hardwoods allows me to offer my customers a wide selection of colors and designs.

Exactly as described I love a honest salesman this company is one of those type u get what u pay for I do not regret my purchase and will buy from them again there is vibrant purple I sealed the lumber soon after I bought it to retain the coloration its still the same coloration as when it was delivered thank u for the quality

I read in the Wood Database that this wood doesn't glue up well, but I have never had an issue. Do as little routing as possible with this--like don't route a handle for a charcuterie board from it, or the lengthwise cut for a juice groove--it is subject to router tear out. But, it is beautiful wood!!!Some reviews state in order to get a deep purple, you need "special" additional treatment. Not so. I used Food Safe mineral oil on the board only. The Purple Heart looks great...

Only thing to complain about is that the boards were a little rough cut. As if forced through too fast or blade was dull.

There is nothing I dislike, I ordered 4 different species, plus I had some of my own hard woods, so I could make cutting boards for a local chef who was on Hells Kitchen and runs a kitchen at local restaurant. I was never interested, because I carve freehand art for a living. But it seems now I will making cutting boards as well. Enough about me, all the wood I ordered was perfect, I will be buying again very soon. I just need to talk for the vender on getting 7/8" or 1" thick and wider boards . do to my wood working process

Some of the Purple Heart was of low quality. Wood had inner holes in it as noticed when plaining.

This is the first time I have ordered from this place. The wood came exactly as described. No warping whatsoever and great color. I will definitely be ordering from them again.
