A great nib. Good construction with a non-scratchy point. Good ink flow.

I bought these because I read reviews about them being better than the Speedball/Hunt 102 nibs. In my opinion, they are profoundly superior in every way. They carry more ink allowing one to draw longer between dips in the ink pot, they are dramatically smoother when drawing or writing, and they are stiff enough that splattering is minimized. I had given up on dip pens, having invested in a few Rotring tech pens instead. The Hunt 102 pens I had used for years seem to be of questionable quality these days, and I am being kind. But I missed drawing with a dip pen, and the line variations possible with a good quality tool. The Zebra nibs (G nibs and maru) are all the reviews seem to say they are. I never plan on buying a 102 again, nor any Speedball/Hunt pen-and-ink product, for that matter. Those materials, frankly, seem like student grade compared to the Zebra G nibs , maru nibs, and Dr. Martin's India Ink. This may sound like an advertisement, but quality materials are essential to my work, and money spent on bad supplies is so very wasteful. Hope this is helpful.

Should be great with holder. Also, for some of the "feathers" I have to make "feather" pens; like used in olden times. Size is perfect for these. Very functional. Also, hopefully durable for use for many years. Easy to use with paper, as long as not too thin. Just a dip in an ink bottle, the the ink should flow nicely. With a holder with a fine grip; I'll go old school writing.

Fine little nibs. Flawless strokes. Excellent value. You can't go wrong for the money. Will buy again.

Fantastic nibs! I am using these for my high school students. They work really well for them. I’ve tried them out myself and love them. They create very nice fine lines.

Does not fit my pen (Jinhao x750) which was said to work with manga style pen nibs, BUT it's probably my fault for not researching better. Just putting this out there so someone else won't make the same mistake. G pen nibs are said to work, I'll try them on my pen when they come. I guess they're a different size at the BASE, too, rather than just the tip as I'd thought. Will try to get something that fits it to try them. I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW WITH MORE INFO ONCE I GET TO USE THESE BETTER, but I thought it good to mention that they don't work with that particular pen which I see recommended a lot. I'll buy a new pen tonight and update this review with more info on the nibs. They so far appear to be VERY good quality, made from high quality metal. The packaging for the nibs THEMSELVES was good, although the way in which they were shipped was.... Interesting. But that isn't the product's fault.

Mi evaluación va de acuerdo a lo siguiente: 1. El pedido llegó dos días antes de la fecha estimada de entrega en correcto empaquetado y en buenas condiciones cada una de las 10 plumillas. 2. En cuanto a su uso me quedé sorprendido. Buscaba opciones en cuanto a plumillas con trazos finos y encontré esta como recomendación. Normalmente manejo una Hunt 102 la cual es físicamente muy parecida y con la cual puedes hacer tanto trazos delgados y gruesos; me sentía un poco indeciso al comprarla porque pensé que el trazo iba a ser exactamente igual, pero estuve completamente equivocado, el trazo es genial, es súper fino y nada que ver. Puedes hacer trazos finos o extra finos dependiendo de la presión que ejerzas en la plumilla. 3. Recomiendo altamente esta plumilla para trazos finos y extra finos, sobretodo en fondos o detalles. La retención de la tinta es adecuada, y en cuanto al manguillo puedes usar sin problema uno de marca Tachikawa. Me quede muy satisfecho con la compra y pues nada, a seguir probándola!

Before I review these game-changing nibs I should say that I am not an artist, I am an 80+ self-taught card-making enthusiast with lots more to learn. Therefore this review is aimed at like-minded people. I bought these nibs because I have not been able to achieve the fine and delicate lines I wanted. My first attempt at using the nibs was on an extra smooth Bristol Board which resulted in disappointment. My next attempt was when I introduced stamping to my designs and used a coated stamping board, I tried the nibs just once more, and I was delighted and amazed with the result. The nibs just flowed over the card without any resistance and the result was as delicate and fragile as I could possibly wish for. A positive, and for me, an exciting game changer. The real artists among you would be right in saying "needs more practice" and that is exactly what I am looking forward to doing, I know that it is going to be a rewarding and satisfying experience. I am very happy to recommend these nibs and suggest that disappointed users should research the kind of card they are using.

Pedí estas plumillas con un poco de miedo por su bajo precio, ya que son bastante más baratas que otras similares o iguales. Pues bien, el producto es de excelente calidad, comparable a cualquier otra que haya comprado en el pasado. Encajan de manera precisa en todos los mangos que tengo. La carga de tinta y el trazo son perfectos. Es importante tener en cuenta que es una plumilla de tipo Maru, indicada para trabajos que requieran línea muy fina. Empaquetado y envío correctos. 100% recomendado (si sabes lo que es una plumilla Maru!)

Questi pennini sono ovviamente tra i migliori in assoluto quando si parla di inchiostrazione, essendo praticamente (insieme ai G-pen), un'istituzione tra i mangaka giapponesi e non solo. Principalmente, sono indicati per inchiostrare sfondi e i piccoli dettagli, ma niente impedisce di usarli come si preferisce. Ovviamente richiedono un curva di apprendimento impegnativa, in quanto sulla carta non si comportano intuitivamente come i fineliner o le penne tradizionali, e le prime prove possono risultare frustranti. NOTA: Assolutamente fondamentale, è l'utilizzo di una carta adatta, che non si laceri al passaggio del pennino (in gergo, il "bleeding"). La classica Fabriano 4 220 gr. liscia può comunque andar bene per cominciare, sebbene ne esistano di più adatte - e costose. Più che lo spessore, è importante la resistenza della trama della carta. Anche la manutenzione è importante, dopo ogni uso vanno puliti bene con un panno, per evitare incrostazioni e ruggine. Una volta presa dimestichezza, si possono ottenere risultati migliori di quelli che si hanno con i pennarelli calibrati, con una qualità della linea impeccabile, e una durata dello strumento superiore. Basta guardare ai risultati ottenuti da molti mangaka, che ancor oggi, nell'era digitale, usano ampiamente questi strumenti. Spedizione puntuale e senza problemi.

These nibs are excellent quality and terrific for pen and ink illustrations or just general sketching. They hold the ink well and create a consistent line. Great value for little price and very prompt delivery from Amazon.
