Great brand, good product, MAKE SURE you get your dosing right
Caution: Taking this in large doses will cause mild to severe flushing and tingling of the skin, most commonly the forehead, arms and hands, or back. If you experience this, know that it's common, temporary, and you're going to be okay. But, most importantly, it is avoidable. Read the "how to take" section for more. About the product: Bulk Supplements is a great brand. Look at their average review across all their products. Few can compete. I've had no complaints with this product, and it came exactly as advertised, which has been true for all of my purchases from their line. Other products by this brand have been quality-tested by third party organizations like LabDoor, and all have exceeded their promises. One thing worth doing is explaining how to work with their products, so here's a short guide -The bags use press-to-seal ziploc, which is not ideal for multiple accesses. I recommend transferring portions of the powder to a mason jar or similar container, using the bag for long-term storage. -There is no scoop provided, because they don't do dosing. What IS provided is a measurement to concentration table. The label gives you measurements in increments of teaspoons (1tsp = 5ml). It's easy to miss and very handy. How (and why) to take beta-alanine: Take 3.2grams per day, taken as either four doses of 800mg or three doses of 1.1g (1100mg), spaced out by at least three hours. The time of day does not matter, and it is irrelevant to take it pre-, post-, or mid-workout. At any given time, it only matters if you have taken it consistently for a week or two. Take it in 800mg doses for one week before trying 1.1g doses to get your body used to it. It's been found that almost all people tolerate 800mg, but most will handle a slightly higher dose without the prickling feeling. I personally take 1.1g without noticeable effects. It takes one to two weeks to reach peak efficacy, and you will lose the performance benefits two to three weeks after you stop taking it. More information and the reasons for this dosing can be found below. I do a meta-analysis of every supplement I consider taking. The information below is up to date via peer-reviewed, vetted studies sourced July 1st 2018. The realistic, studied doses are 3-3.5 grams per day and ~6 grams per day. There has been no difference in results between the two, so my dosing recommendations will be targeted at and just above 3 grams per day. There is no reason to believe lower doses are ineffective, but they have not been studied. Both doses have been found to increase muscle concentration of carnosine and to improve performance in mid-high intensity, mid-high duration activities. Think long sprints, HIIT, swimming, and drop sets. Effect has been observed in general (think resistance training) activities, but it's too early for certainty. Muscle carnosine levels have been found to be highly diet related, so supplementing is very unlikely to cause long-term change. Specifically, vegetarians (which implies vegans also - the significant aspect is the lack of meat in their diet) have chronically lower carnosine levels. It has not been studied, but it is simple to predict beta-alanine supplementation may be even more valuable to non-meat eating groups. Carnosine levels following the end of beta-supplementation have steadily reverted to baseline values across multiple studies. It's only effective while you take it. At 800mg per dose, beta-alanine has consistently shown no prickling or flushing side effects. This number was chosen arbitrarily by researchers, and the only hard data about what doses WILL consistently cause side effects is anything 3g or more in a small time frame. Many will tolerate a larger (than 800mg) dose, but how much larger remains to be seen. If you have any questions, you may reply to my comment and I will do my best to answer and make clear the limitations of my knowledge. The disturbing presence of naturalists, broscientists, and other homeopathic charlatans is something I'm willing to spend my time working against.

Custom Pre-Workout Stack by Bulk Supplements
I purchased this product as a part of my own pre-workout stack consisting of 4 g Beta Alanine, 6 g Citrulline Malate, and 4 g Creatine Monohydrate. I have taken a few other pre-workouts in the past and do not like many of the added fillers ($$), and having to deal with unknown dosage amounts that end up in "proprietary blends". Bulk Supplements provide exactly what they advertise, the purest form of said ingredients at very reasonable products. That being said, the quality of the products are top notch and my results have been reflective of that. I have made significant gains on my lifts in both volume and number, increased strength, stamina, and endurance, and have been able to do so on a caloric deficit without compromise. My aim was to control the specific dosages of each ingredient for my desired results (fat loss and muscle gain), and Bulk Supplements have allowed me to do that. All three powders mix and dissolve very well with water, with no clumping or residue left behind in the shaker bottle. Beta Alanine is said to help prevent muscular fatigue during workouts, while Citrulline Malate is a vaso-dialator, which leads to a better pump. Creatine Monohydrate helps support lean muscle and ATP synthesis while aiding in muscular recovery. It is especially beneficial for anaerobic exercises that require that extra push. As far as I can tell, the Beta Alanine and Creatine Monohydrate both have neutral flavors, but the Citrulline Malate is extremely bitter. I would recommend mixing with some form of sweetener to offset the bitterness and make this blend more palatable. I use Fruit Punch Gatorade powder (11g) for my mix and it works for me. This is only about a half dose of the Gatorade powder as listed on the bottle, but again, trying to cut involves limiting sugar and calorie intake. Some may want it sweeter, but I'm taking this for results, not taste. To anyone looking to build a custom pre-workout, I would highly recommend using Bulk Supplements. Shipping is fast, accurate, and relatively inexpensive compared to the flashier brands you will see in places like GNC. I will soon be adding BCAA 2:1:1 into my daily routine to help with muscle soreness and recovery as well.

Pure Beta Alanine Delivers Quality and Effectiveness
I have been using Pure Beta Alanine Powder for about 8 months. Since Beta-alanine is an amino acid and a precursor of carnosine, I wanted to use something that functioned as an antioxidant, provide organ support, aid in overall muscle function and help with my lack of energy come gym time. I generally use brand name pre-workout powder mixes, but those products can contain a mixed bag of ingredients that may or may not be effective for my requirements. After some careful research and reading over a lot of user reviews for both Beta Alanine and the Bulk Supplement brand I decided to try their product. The bottom line is that after a few months of using this product along with a few other Bulk Supplement products ( L- BulkSupplements Pure L-Citrulline DL-Malate 2:1 Powder (1 Kilogram) and BulkSupplements Pure L-Arginine a-Ketoglutarate (AAKG) Powder (1 Kilogram) ) I definitely found improvement in both my workouts and daily energy levels. I generally use the recommended daily doses, which helps provide just the right amount of assistance with energy levels and a mild pump during workout sessions. As a reference, I am not a bodybuilder. but I am athletic and in my 50's prone to low energy levels. On average I take 3 servings of Beta Alanine throughout the day. With tea or coffee in the morning to get me going and then in a mid-day protein shake and finally in a homemade pre-workout drink stacked with Creatine Monohydrate, L-Arginine and L-Citrulline. I usually don't include any caffeine products with this regimen since I usually workout in the early evening. This is an example of my profile and how the product affects me, so naturally this regimen won't work for everyone. I am more than satisfied with the results of this product. I have experienced no side effects and lab results as seen during my regular physician visits have shown no abnormalities in liver, kidney BP levels, which were of concern when taking these supplements for over 6 months. I'll continue to use Bulk Supplement products and recommend them based on my 8 months of experiences. Happy Health.

Reviewed with other Bulk Supplements products in an attempt to recreate a favorite pre-workout blend
I train fasted every morning, and combine my pre-workout with BCAAs with Glutamine to prevent soreness and muscle loss. The fasted training requires that my pre-workout be as devoid as possible of calories. After trying several different pre-workout supplements that met that profile, I found one that I felt worked pretty well and delivered on its promises. It produced a great pump and a smooth energy boost with no jitters or crash. There were two things about it that bothered me a little bit though - the price per dose, and the fact that it included 350mg of caffeine. I tolerate caffeine well, but wanted the option to reduce it or eliminate it for low/no caffeine days, or on days when I can predict that I'll be drinking lots of coffee at work. In an attempt to recreate the formula of my favorite product, but sans-caffeine and at a lower price per dose, I purchased the following Bulk Supplements products from Amazon and combined them in the following amounts: Pure Betatine Anhydrous 250grams package: 1 teaspoon Pure L-Citruline DL Malate 2:1 powder 500 grams package: 1 tablespoon Pure Beta Alanine powder 500grams package: 1 teaspoon *Note that the amounts above are much greater than the recommended amounts on the Bulk Supplements product labels, but are very close to the dosages in the product I was using. The product that I was using also included L-Ornathine, also available from Bulk Supplements brand. I may purchase the 250gram package of that at a later date and add to the cocktail at an amount of just under 1 teaspoon per dose. So far, the experience of my experiment has been positive. Most importantly, I feel the effect of my cocktail is about the same - great pump, no soreness, comparable increase in energy and stamina as opposed to without. When I feel the need for caffeine, I take a single 200mg Caffeine Anhydrous pill that I also bought from Amazon (100 for six dollars). As far as cost goes, the stuff I was using is about two dollars per serving. With the sizes that I purchased and the amounts that I'm using, my blend costs about seventy two cents per serving (less than half). If I were to add the L-Ornithine, the new cost would be just under a dollar a serving (still less than half). The powders dissolve easily in filtered water. In 10-12 oz, my cocktail is about as acidic as strong lemonade and no less palatable. I tried it once without adding the BCAA+G and found that it was drinkable as-is; acidic, but not bitter or fowl-tasting. I tried adding pure stevia leaf extract (without erithrytol or other artificial sweeteners), but without the benefit of a flavor to enhance, that didn't really provide a flavor improvement. Perhaps some lemon extract might have coupled with the sweetener to make a nice blend. I purposely drink my mix before brushing my teeth in the morning, as I felt that drinking it afterward might have caused some sensitivity. Regarding the packaging, I imagine it's very important to keep moisture out. To this end, some might find fault with the locking seal provided on the bags the products are packaged in. They can get fouled by the powder getting in the track during shipping. I simply cleaned the track out by using the thin back end of the cheap metal measuring spoons that I use (from Walmart). I suppose the tip of a keen knife would work also, but at risk of cutting through. The Betatine started to develop a clump or two on top, so I put a silica bag inside to absorb any moisture that I was unintentionally introducing to the bag and haven't found any additional clumps since. I'm providing this same review for all the components of my blend, as I can't honestly review each of them individually, never having tried any of them in isolation. If I add the Ornithine, I'll provide an update.

I bought Bulksupplements Beta Alanine because it was the best offer for the money
Its Beta Alanine nothing fancy or gimmicky. As a consumer I am looking for something very simple. The product I want (Beta Alanine) and I want it at the most affordable price without sacrificing quality or severely undercutting the serving size. I bought Bulksupplements Beta Alanine because it was the best offer for the money, serving size wise and I decided to go ahead and assume the quality would be on par. When you open a bag of this stuff it looks like sugar, in fact you might even think you got ripped of because it looks like sugar!!! BUT It is NOT sugar, it is Beta Alanine and I felt the effects (the tingling, hot earts, itchyness, ect) within the first 10-15 minutes taking 3 grams at a body weight of 190 almost. Some people may dislike that particular effect be me and others love it because it lets us know we got some good Beta Alanine and we know its time to start working out!!! Or whatever you are doing for that day. I would rate this HIGH QUALITY and the SUPERIOR PRICING when comparing it to other Beta Alanine supplements, and I also love the fact that its no other ingredient besides what we want. The only downside is there is no scooper, at least I did not see any, because I did not finish this yet. In terms of what effect did I see when taking this, well I haven't been taking it too long as of yet so I cannot say, plus I am on so many supplements its hard to tell what is increasing what. All I know is, the Beta Alanine itchy, hot, tingly feeling clearly is a GOOD SIGN that this is at the very least a VERY GOOD Beta Alanine product and you are getting what you asked for. I would buy from here again if I am buying in this price range.

Beta-Alanine from BulkSupplements.com - Performance Boost with a Slight Tingle and Dosing Tips
As a fitness enthusiast, I have tried numerous supplements to boost my workouts, and beta-alanine from BulkSupplements.com truly stands out. This non-essential amino acid is a game changer when it comes to enhancing athletic performance. I've experienced increased endurance, greater strength gains, and improved overall workout intensity since I started using it. BulkSupplements.com is a reliable and affordable source for high-quality supplements, making it easy for consumers to access the benefits of beta-alanine without breaking the bank. Their commitment to purity and transparency is commendable, providing a trustworthy option for those seeking to enhance their fitness journey. Beta-alanine works by buffering lactic acid in your muscles, which allows you to push harder and longer during high-intensity workouts. It's a fantastic addition for those looking to break through plateaus or simply take their performance to the next level. However, one thing to note is the tingling sensation, also known as paresthesia, that some users may experience. This is a harmless side effect caused by beta-alanine binding to nerve receptors, resulting in a temporary sensation. Personally, I find the tingling to be mild and manageable, and it dissipates quickly as my body adjusts. That being said, the tingling sensation may be uncomfortable for some users. It's worth trying a lower dose initially, gradually increasing as your body adapts. A common dosing recommendation is to start with 2-3 grams per day, divided into smaller doses (e.g., 1 gram per dose), and then gradually increase to 4-6 grams per day, as tolerated. Alternatively, you can opt for a sustained-release formula, which may help minimize the tingling effect.

Great product. Superior in quality and value to most others.
I've tried most of the popular pre-workout supplements on the market from USP, Gaspari, ON, MP, etc and all of them have had a good effect on me but weren't always the most cost effective. They also tended to go bad or not give me any effect at all on occasion so they weren't perfect. Hence why I tried the pure Beta Alanine, which is a pretty standard and main product in most pre-workout supplements. I've taken the approximate single dose (1/4 tsp) about 15-20 minutes before I worked out for the past 2 weeks I've had it and the results are just as amazing as they have been when I started out using any other new pre-workout supplement. Since this is more concentrated, though, the flushing pins and needles sensation has been quite a bit stronger and I tend to have a much more clean, warm sensation of energy coursing through me once it kicks in than I'm used to with the popular blends. Considering how little I have to take and how much I get in one bag, the value is far superior to any other supplement I've ever taken. Not only that but I can pour it in 4-8 oz of water and it's just a little tangy. Kind of like if someone dropped a drop of lemon juice in it but there's no flavor. IT is so easy to ingest and convenient that it honestly shocked me. As for the benefits in the gym, as I said before, I do have that significant burst of energy as soon as I start my workout. It has lasted me through most of my workouts as well but I can't say too much about how much it helps towards the end. The benefits mostly spur me on towards the beginning of my workout after a wearing day at work when I could use any additional help in the gym.All in all, the product is great on its own and I can attest to how pure of a clean rush it gives you. Highly recommended to anyone looking to set up their own pre-workout stack.
