Pleasant Hearth Grandior Bay Firescreen Oil Rubbed Bronze - Large

Was a little worried about the delivery on time. I work out of state so being on time delivery was critical. Price was the lowest I've seen. Lowes, Home depot were weeks out. Lowes wouldn't ship to home at all, only store pick ups after waiting two weeks. Amazon was amazing! They estimated delivery on the 20th. I made purchase on the 12th. I called customer service two days ago. This ah-some customer service guy took charge. Told him that I was looking for this package to deliver this Saturday, He jacked up the shipping department and made it happen. I watched in real time the shipping department on the 18th knock it out of the park! Shipped on the 18th and Fed X delivered to my door on the 19th. I couldn't believe the great customer service I had received!The fire place door was a perfect fit. Not only did it fit but it was just the right shade I was looking for. The color is a little dark but from my last door, I can tell you, soot looks pretty dirty on any bright metal, brass. I had to make some slight modifications on the clamps but was able to put it together and mount the door frame with little effort. There was enough insulation to stuff around the metal frame. I think the purpose of the insulation is to protect the metal from extreme heat. Heat could discolor the metal finish. As far as the quality goes, the product was made very well. The glass doors are in solid panels, ground to look like individual panels. Open up the glass doors you will find fire proof screen doors. Heavy mesh to prevent flying cinders.All in all I would have to say hell ya! great price! great customer service, Great product!

Very well priced, solidly designed, and easy to install product. Cudos to the manufacturer. Definitely recommend watching the install video a few times to get prepared. I was considering going with a local store option to deal with the install, but I am glad I didn't as those started at $1300 so we easily saved $1K with this. Lastly, the packaging was well thought out to ensure no damage during handling and shipping. You have to love with a simple product like this is well thought out from the design to the packaging to the assembly.

Easy to install, Love the way the glass doors open out of the way. The mesh screen does it's job well and is easy to open and close My old one had the hanging screen that had to be slid open and closed. The rod came loose over time and the screen kept rolling up and spiraling off it's connector. This one is a great addition to the room and looks nice as well.

Frame is heavy gauge metal. Finish looks good but darker than what I'd expected - it's a dark patina textured bronze. Blocks more air than a wide open fireplace but doesn't even try to make a draft-proof seal. It seems to be good quality but I don't know if it'll stand the test of time (and heat). The exaggerations in the description worry me - if it can't measure up now will it turn out really good later?It's at best a four star item. It's a good price and good door but doesn't deliver the hype.

The quality of this fireplace door is a great improvement over the one it replaced. I shopped around for a new door and this is a great buy. It was easy to install and fits snugly around my fireplace, which greatly reduced the draftiness I was experiencing before. The quality of this product is comparable to much more expensive doors I looked at in local stores. The beveled glass is very classy looking. The door looks much more expensive than it is. I'd highly recommend it. Another company was going to charge me $150 for shipping alone, so it pays to shop around. I was pleasantly surprised when I found the product on Amazon.

The old brass doors got rusty after several years. It seems that so many people had issues with them that they no longer make them, at least for Amazon. I bought this thinking the shade would fit nicely in our house. Unfortunately the color shown is NOT what you get. The actual shade is more brown than bronze. With little alternative at this point, I kept this, but am not very happy. The doors work fine, and the screen is much nicer than the chain link ones.

I've looked at many fireplace doors that cost as much as three to four times more than these but were not the quality of the Pleasant Hearth. They arrived very well packaged against damage and had instructions that were easy to follow and understand. From unpacking to finish it took about 2 or 3 hours of unhurried work to put everything together without anyone needed to help. Fit and finish of the fireplace doors were excellent. The beveled glass of the bay window style doors give the unit a unique, expensive look. I would not hesitate to recommend this item to anyone interested in glass fireplace doors and screens. I had bought a large size glass door of this same model(Pleasant Hearth Grandoir) and wanted another one for a smaller fire place. I ordered the smaller model (this one) and when it came I found that the inner mesh door was broken and displaced from its hinge. I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt and requested for a product replacement (Kudos to Amazon for a good policy and helpful site). When the replacement came, it too was broken! I thought of fixing it just so that I don't have to pack up all that heavy stuff to return it, but it was beyond fixing - the mesh door won't even close properly even if fixed (the bar to which it attaches to was bent!). Also the outer frame had a large gap in the corner which was very unsightly. How can they mess up twice? It seemed like they just ship out defective items that were returned by other customers. Very disappointed and not going to order this product again! I would have given this zero stars but don't have that ability here.
