Love this band
I saw Kodaline as a warm up band and fell in love with their music. Then they headlined and had a chance to see them again. Their music is beautiful, heart felt, actually a nice CD to put on when you have guests, but they are the best when you just enjoy the musicality and even better the lyrics.

Stronger Than This
Ireland's Kodaline has a great breakout CD with "In A Perfect World." The opening track "One Day" has a large sonic panorama that reflects in musical terms the great cover, "Waiting for a change to come, you know you're not the only one." "High Hopes" is another jewel with its slow build & piano at the center of the arrangement until the great guitar work. "All Comes Down" is another tune that grabs you by the collar with its emotional power, "I see in your soul & I know you're lying to me; I lose control; Oh, why didn't I know?" "Pray" is a track that greatly appeals to me, seeming to be about accepting loss with the knowledge that death does not stop us from continuing to love our departed loved ones, "And you slipped away from me without talking; The look in your eyes stronger than this." Kodaline has an exceptionally attractive freshman set. Enjoy!

A Near-Perfect Album
Kodaline is one of the best new bands out there. I stumbled across this album via Spotify (with subscription!), and found myself listening to it over and over. Wound up buying the album in order to support the band, and bought copies to give away as well. This has become one of my favorite albums and one of my favorite bands. I've seen them live three times now, and they are reliably fantastic. The music sometimes has the feel of Atomic-Bomb-era U2, and the singer-songwriter-type songs have the quality of a Jackson Browne or Bruce Springsteen. A talented group of guys, the songs are well-written, well-structured, and over many listens different things stand out, such as the drums, bass, some of the more subtle guitar work. I wish them much success, and I am certain it is coming.

Pretty Cool
I discovered this band while on a trip to Brazil by reference form a European friend. My first exposure was two two of their videos and I was very impressed both by the music and quality of the video. So far I have enjoyed this whole CD and would recommend it. As any other CD you may not really care for every song in the album.

A perfect CD
I love this so much. I need to tell you that I am almost 70, but I am no music snob. I love all great music and this fits that category. Once again, I heard this on a dog rescue site and I did the research and found out who the group was. This goes down really smoothly and puts me in that frame of mind that I am in the mountains or beach and reading with my headphones on and pretending that I am not fat and not old. Music does that to me, taking me back to a carefree time when menopause was not even a thought and age spots and nonworking body parts were not even a consideration. We are going to hear great things from this group and I am looking forward to hearing all their stuff.

New favorite!!!
This album is full of nice relaxing songs, it will definitely be staying in my cd player in my car for a while. This has got to be one of my new favorite artists. I stumbled on Kodaline by accident as I was listening to The Villagers on Pandora when it started playing similar artists and a song from this album came on and I fell in love. There isn't one song on this album that I don't like (which is very rare for me) so I would recommend giving this a listen.

Simply Perfect
I heard All I Want and pre-ordered the CD from Amazon on the basis of that one tune. I had a feeling this was going to be good and I was right. It's great. I heard the song on cable TV while surfing some alternative music station, and I immediately taped it to hear over again. His voice is haunting. The songs just grab you and they don't let go. I wonder if Kodaline would be surprised that a 63 yr. old woman appreciates their music (and lyrics). My favorites are One Day, (the lyrics make me weep), All I Want, All Comes Down, and Talk. But there isn't a bad track on here. What a solid debut "album!" Thank you, Kondaline!!
