Carhartt mens Knee pad, Acidic Green, Large US

Don’t listen to the crybabys on here talking all that “oooh they chafe,” and “oooh, too thin….”Those are the wails of sissies who don’t work for a living.Yeah, they’re a little chafey as they break in, but break in is quick. They do not protect like a knee pad with a hard shell, but they more than insulate against concrete or rocks (I’m a plumber and I’m breaking them in doing undergrounds, and these are a great barrier). They’re a little warm and a little heavy, but one (and two): if you’re any kinda man, these things are even noticeable.And not having straps biting my calf and lower thigh all damn day and not constantly adjusting pads and not having to navigate with the extra bulk in mind all the time? Priceless.I can’t speak to longevity, as I’ve only been breaking these for a couple of days…but it’s Carhartt, man. I’m breaking these pads in on two year old double-front rugged flex pants that I have beat the piss out of and they keep going.Oh fit: definitely get the large (I’m a 33x34) and trim ‘em. They fill the pocket perfectly side-to-side if you knock a row off each side of the pad.

Bought these for my husband in Large size for 40 inch waste and he really likes that he doesn’t have to keep adjusting them.They fit in pocket well and provide enough protection for most jobs but he doesn’t feel they replace traditional knee pads for extended, repetitive, daily kneeling jobs such as roofing or flooring.They were easy to insert but I’m not sure how we’d get them back out. I don’t love the idea of washing them regularly with pants and would prefer to hand wash.It would have been better if they were easier to remove, sold with pants or at a lower price but over all they are nice to have.

Not a great fit they slide and twist around uncomfortably BUT they keep me from breaking my knees on the flatbed truck when I climb up !Laundry safe , they just have to be twisted back around inside most of the time after.

If you are thinking about getting these knee pads…STOP thinking and buy them NOW!!!! The only regret we have is not purchasing them sooner. They are easy to put into the double front pants and you don’t have to remove to wash or dry (dry in medium heat though). He was skeptical the first day, but before lunch I received a message saying these are amazing and we should have just bought them years ago. Here we are a few months later and they are still amazing. You forget they are even there until you begin to kneel or crawl on rough hard surfaces! We only purchased one to try them at first.If they are for daily use, I would recommend a couple pair so that you aren’t removing them and putting them into a different pair of pants each night. It’s so much easier to just toss them in the wash pants and all. If we could rate these above 5 stars I would. They are well worth it to see the amount of relief they give my hard working guy!

I bought a pair of these pads to use on my Carhart double wall pants and they do a really good job at saving my knees. However the pad is not super thick like a typical over the pants standalone kneepad but it’s definitely better than nothing. I wouldn’t wanna spend all day on my knees just using these pads but they definitely make a quick couple minutes on the ground easier on the knees. I’ve washed my pants with these knee pads installed and never had any issues with the pads deteriorating in anyway or deforming or even getting misaligned or flopped around in the pocket

These are perfect for the carhartt pants they are made for. Love the quality but not the price but I’ll buy them again when I need too.

For the price point, it seems like these should be a custom fit. instead it feels like a "universal fit" and as a long time carhartt fan, i gotta say im pretty disappointed. they work but they're okay at best

Excellent product! Saved my husband's knees everytime. Not just Hard Labor but situations where you need to kneel down for working, car mechanics, floor installers, working at home projects.They are inside the little pockets of the pants and they are washable. I wash them 2-3 times a week and they still intact! Last me atleast 1year already! No more bulky knee pad with the straps and take on and off.
