If you are looking for a protein supplement that does not require a lot of fluid intake, this is it. With 15 gm per oz it can't be beat. The vanilla taste is okay, but not great. Some of the other flavors are not so pleasant. Experiment and choose which you like best. We have been using 4 oz a day for 60 gm to ensure enough protein when not getting enough from food. There have been no problems with it at all.

it is a great form of proteins for people that cannot eat large amounts of food. and helped my father slow down the weight loss and maintain weight to a certain extent when he cannot eat too much food due to pancreatitis. The taste is not very good though it is only a small amount like a shot glass but it taste very sour and sweet

Upon reading reviews I thought maybe some people were being over dramatic. (Which I’ve encountered before) But upon drinking this, I did however notice the awful smell. Hoping this would taste better than smelled I sipped a small amount. This stuff is horrid! You actually have to sip it or you won’t be able to get it down! And this is because it is so thick it takes a while to go down. Think of it as trying to drink honey. The taste is nothing of vanilla, yet a citrusy, sweet, thick syrup and very disgusting. It almost has a hospital sort of taste, if you can imagine it. I don’t know how in the world I will be able to endure drinking this mess. A chaser is definitely necessary. Good luck!

It's kind of expensive but it really works. It is premixed solid liquid vanilla tastes like honey and smooth. It's very thick and sticky. Take a drink then drink of something else if needed till you finished. I use vanilla sugar free am and pm. No surgery just have low protein.

Ok so I bought citrus flavor and also vanilla. I am pre-diabetic and told that this works amazing for diabetics to heal wounds. So I bought 2 bottles. It's only an ounce so I thought I could chug it like a shot. But when I opened it, it has the texture of honey. So it's VERY thick. So I put it in a small cup added some cold water like another ounce and chugged it. It's the most awful disgusting horrible thing I have ever... EVER had in my mouth. It madee gag just smelling it. Then I thought I was being a baby so I asked each family member to try it and smell it. Needless to say I then felt like a jerk because I made my husband gag and my daughter vomit. So yeah I wasn't alone in the assessment of taste. BUT... It did what the nurse friend said it would do. It cleared up wounds that were open, in a day. It absolutely works amazing for wound care and I should say I have finished almost both bottles now and I am going to buy another, but I'm going to try a different flavor like cherry punch or something like that. And I'll be praying it tastes better, but even if it doesn't its just an ounce and I'll get through it. I hope this review helps anyone who's interested in the product. i was in hospital to heal a pressure sore. he nurses give me one med cup full ( one oz.. ) three times a day. I am healed and continue to take two med cups/ day prophylactically !! I highly recommend, but it tastes SOUR... have a ''chaser'' ready I! I chose water !! It comes in various flavors as well :)

this may be labeled as Vanilla but it is a STRONG LEMON flavor. There were NO Unflavored options on the Amazon website or i'd ordered that in the first place.

I have to supplement my protein.This is free of the allergy items I have to avoid. Mixes easy. I've stirred this into vanilla camomile tea. And had it be that perfect sweet. Instead of using sugar. I recommend this if you're in need of extra protein following most surgical procedures.
