Install was quite challenging in my particular application as the bumper was enclosed, requiring me to relocate the relay box, which has very short cables, so relocated mounting options were limited, but I ended up getting it to work without needing extensions. Power and ground cables were generous, and I had to notch the bumper to give me a place to attach the wired remote, otherwise install was straightforward.I managed to winch a car out of a ditch shortly after installing, so although I didn't get quite up to the 9500 lb rated capacity, I know it works.

Very satisfied with this winch! Easy to install and wire up! Took it down to the Outer Banks this week and felt pretty good knowing I wouldn’t have to call anyone if I got stuck

Very nice looking winch. I have only used it once so far to pull a fence post and it did it without a hiccup! Easy install!

I gave this 4 stars because I haven’t had a chance to put it to work yet, but it seems to be well made. It’s very heavy and mounted very securely. Ran smooth without a load, we’ll see how it performs once I put it to real work.

Did alot of reseach before pull the trigger on this winch. I have had the same warn m8000 and 8274 on my jeeps for the last 30+ years without a single malfunction. so to jump ship and get something I have no experience with was a tough decision. The real reason is I can buy 5 of these for the price of one m8000. Line speed is good not as fast as the warn,but more i I used it the faster it got. Electric motors do need break in time. So far its been good. It reels in my superduty without a struggle. Has more cable than most on the market. I like that it has no wireless controller. I have a wireless on my quad and I've seen it start working all by itself and break the cable. Must have got a rouge signal from something. So I opted for the plug in style. Which is no problem for me ive been plugging in a winch controller for 30 years. So far so good I will update my review in 30 years.

Great price. Haven’t used it in an emergency. Looks great installs easy. Make sure all terminals are tight. If they are loose it will spark. Rough country customer service is great. I’ve bought a lot of stuff from them and had no issue. On my lift I had a defective part, they sent me a replacement no questions asked ASAP. I will absolutely buy from them again.

i am sure it will pull me out of any mud hole, but didnt buy it for that, bought for the looks it gave the front end of my jeep. that looks good.

I used it to pull a 8,000 to 10,000 pound concrete slab across the yard.It worked better than I expected, easy to use.
