LOVE, LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
I purchased this product after severely cutting my heel with one of those blades used to cut the calluses from your feet. My husband had warned me of the dangers of using blades, and I've cut my feet several times. I read many reviews on this product and others before purchasing. It came in 2 days and had a charge when it arrived. I keep it plugged in so it's ready whenever my husband or I are needing to use it. I'm very pleased with this product, and very happy that I purchased this. It works very well and does a great job, and I use it at least once a week to keep my feet really soft. My husband also uses it about once a week also, to keep his feet smooth. He was shot in the foot and the bullet fragments are still in his foot, and he gets calluses where the fragments are in his foot. I also purchased the extra rollers, but haven't had to change the original one out yet. Those who complained about this product must not have used it properly. When using don't press down thinking that extra pressure will help, it's not designed to be used like that. Just lightly touch the area you want to treat and the file will definitely work well. For those who have a lot of hard calluses, you might want to either soak your feet first to soften the skin, or use it everyday for a couple of days until you get the best results. You don't want to over do it because you may cause your feet to be sore. I'm very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this wonderful gadget to anyone. It will definitely save you a lot of money on getting pedicures elsewhere!

This works!
It took a little practice to get the feel of it. It's a battery-powered motor so it's not the most powerful. If you apply too much pressure it will slow the motor and render it useless. But with practice, you'll get a sense of the right pressure and the best angles. Once you get there, this is a remarkable tool. I am using it for a callous on the sole of my foot and it grinds it down enough that I can walk shoeless without pain. To me, the fact that it is rechargeable puts it a step up over the other brands I saw.

Disappointed-Product Stopped Working After 4 Months
I received the foot file on 24 April and began using it several days later. It worked well, I was pleased with its removal of calloused skin and used it about once per week. In July/August I noticed it took longer to charge the device. I did not drop the device and I cleaned it as instructed in the accompanying brochure. On 4 September I picked up the device to use it. I pressed it against my skin, and the roller fizzled. The roller then stopped turning. I tried recharging the device without success. It is completely dead and cannot be revived. When I turn it on, the device does absolutely nothing. When I plug it into the charger, the light is green indicating the device is fully charged.I ordered an extra set of rollers expecting the device to last longer than 4 months. I am disappointed it is not a reliable product. Based on the short life of this product, I cannot recommend it.

Very effective, but terrible battery
This came as promised, and I was happy when I opened it up. It has three barrels all together, with two different amounts of grit. The directions said to charge it for 8 hours before use, and that the light would turn green. When I plugged it in, the light was already green, which was a fun surprise. This little machine is pretty powerful, and I love that it has 180° of use around the top, so I don't have to worry about flipping it around my foot.My biggest problem with it is that it will only run for less than five minutes before it slows down to the point of it being unusable. I love that it's rechargable, because I don't have to flip out batteries again and again, but the very short life off the cord is a major drawback for me.

How I got my feet in fab shape
This thing is an essential step I took in getting my feet back to tip top shape. Being a dancer, my poor feet were doomed to have calluses. I do my best to avoid that at all costs, but I couldn't stop it. I ended up having a couple small ones and one decently thick one. This thing is amazing, especially for the smaller ones. Let's go right into a pro's and con's list.pro's:- Safely grinds away the skin- Long battery life- Can still be used while charging- Long life for the stone (I got mine in February and still haven't needed a replacement with relatively frequent use)- Strong motor that doesn't lag when touched to the skin (unless of course you're smashing it up against yourself which if you are.. stop.)con's- Take's a long time, especially for larger calluses (we will revisit this issue in a second)- Does (of course) produce a fine, skin powder that is pretty gross if you think too hard about it. So don't think too hard about it.Ok so now you've read the pro's and con's list and you might be wondering, "Adina, didn't you say you had a larger callus? Did you just end up spending days and weeks and years just to shave it off?"The answer is no. While this tool was extremely helpful, I am much too impatient for that. As I mentioned, this foot file does take forever, but don't hate on it for that! You don't want a foot file that is too powerful or else it may take skin off in chunks rather than that lovely skin powder we discussed and thus your skin will no longer be soft and smooth which is, to my understanding, our goal.Back to the issue of my larger callus. Here are the steps I took to remove that bad boy.I started off just using the same method I used for the littler ones which was file for about an hour every other day in hopes that I could one day grind it down to the bottom. I don't like using this for much longer in only one spot as the skin begins to feel quite warm and I can't imagine that is good for you. After finishing up any areas that concern you, thickly apply O'Keeffe's O'Keeffe's for Healthy Feet, Foot Cream 3.2oz and throw on some thick cotton socks. I'm sure this method would eventually work for the larger one too, but who has time for that? So I took an extra step with the large one and used Dr. Scholl's Medicated Callus remover Dr. Scholl's Callus Removers, Medicated, 6 pads. I put one on for 48 hours and when I took it off, the callused skin was very white and soft, but still there. I figured it was a bust but I went to the water park the next day and the mixture off water and walking around barefoot made most of the now-white and soft callus just come off. (Don't worry, it didn't come off in the water and I was able to throw the skin away properly) I'm sure you don't need to go to the water park to achieve the same goal, just give yourself a good foot soak and then scrub it away! There was still a bit of callused skin underneath what came off but I was able to easily come back in with this foot file and finish it off! Now my feet are baby soft just in time for summer!
