Rightline Gear Replacement Rear Car Clips for Attaching Hitch Cargo Carriers Without A Roof Rack

Worked as expected - did not break at all. Total driving time on interstates and winding mountain roads was about 20 hours, packed VERY full. We had bought extras just in case but didn't need to use them.

Works great for kia soul. You have to open the hatch completely to connect these, but they work well. Plastic coated so they won't scratch, and heavy duty enough to hold all 195lbs of me.

They work well, it is a little awkward getting them in with a full bag, but those are the limitations of the product. Had no issues.

Works pretty well in the absence of roof bars. Well protected with a solid coat of plastic, it is well designed and does hold the saddle bag without any problem on a 2,000 miles journey!

I gave this a 5 star because of its ingenuity, and the fact it saved me much space when combined with the rear saddle bag. I was also happy I didn't have to have a luggage rack thanks to these little clamps. One suggestion is that they put more of that plastic coating so they don't slide as easily when tugged on I had no issues yet after closing door I could easily slide back and forth prior filling saddle bag which concerned me.

Worked perfectly with my Mazda 5 minivan. It took a little the first time to get everything adjusted, but with these clips it took less then a couple of minutes to install.

Drove 2,700 miles DC to Wash State and the clips did not budge.

If I could give this no stars, I would. This item was used with the car back pack and the back pack was not overloaded. The clips are made of soft metal and the one completely bent, causing one side of the backpack to come loose. The strap that goes inside the hatch and entirely around the bag was all that held the bag on to that side and luckily it held. The one that did not completely bend did partially bend and was very hard to use. I wish I had never gotten this. I ended up, on the road and in trouble, using a dog leash from the dollar store and it worked much better. I tied a knot in the leash, leaving a big loop that I threaded through the top of the hatch. I then put the straps for the back pack through the loops to attach the carrier rather than these useless clips. It worked!
