This is my second after repairing the first over the years - repeatedly. The bolt (3/32 Allen head) upward design through burner that holds everything together will likely come loose again as there is no nut locking mechanism. It threads directly into burner cap. Bad idea having the burner cap take the weight load and vibrations. Additionally when that fails the shield on bottom of stove top machine nuts can fail as there is no locking washer. Good luck finding all the bolts after they’ve shaken around in your unit. But I still did buy another one for now since I only have a few days between trips. Rest of design is fine, flush fit, nice stable working area. 2 burners plenty. Plenty btus. Piezo startup reliable. Numbers wearing off the knobs is a bit. My old glass cover transferred easily. Cover helps with tiny counter space. And I’ve taped the bolt heads so they don’t get lost. Also used wall toggle bolts with extra nut to hold it down. When this fails I’m probably looking at Eno 3 burner since it should fit the existing composite counter cut out. Counter replacement big dollars compared with new unit cost.

I love this cooktop. Its the perfect size for my van. It works at high elevations and doesnt seem to guzzle propane. If I cook every day, I go thru about one 1lb propane can a week. I will say that the graphics on the knobs have totally come off and I have to just gauge by the flame to know where im at. It's pretty irritating when its sunny and I cant see the flame at all, so ill probably paint "off" "high" and "low" on there so i have something to reference .

My husband is a paraplegic who loves to cook - i decided to have a kitchen island built for wheelchair specifications. Since we already have a gas range, i wanted a 2 burner gas stovetop for the island - and this Dometic is everything i wanted (burners flush to countertop, controls in front). When i removed it from "injured" USPS shipping box, noticed one corner was curled under - I contacted Boat & RV Accessories and could not wish for better customer service! They immediately made arranged USPS pickup and delivered a new unit the next day. I highly recommend this company and will certainly purchase from them again! Like others, this product has broken on me in a mere couple of months of use. BTW this is my second domtic cooktop and the first had the exact same issue. The screws on the stovetop continuously come loose and fall out. It's just frustrating to pay so much for a simple product and they can't even make it right. A common problem, I may just drill it in like others with this issue.

The dial is effective in adjusting heat although the low setting is hotter than on a Coleman propane stove. The igniter works great. Medium and hot settings really get hot fast. The only complaint is that the lettering on the knows had started to disappear after two weeks of use. It was never cleaned with anything stronger than warm soapy water. No harsh chemicals as I'm allergic. But, I think I can paint on settings using different colors, eg green for low, yellow for medium, red for high and blue for ignite. I would definitely buy this again.
