Quality lights, but watch the price
For years, I bought cheap strings of standard Christmas lights. They would last a whole holiday season, but even after handling them gently and storing them very carefully, there was about a 50/50 chance that a string wouldn't work when I unpacked it the next year. With the wide availability of affordable LED lights, I will never buy standard strings again. These LED lights are cool, bright and energy-efficient, and they have worked through three seasons and counting. I like the "dome" design, which intensifies the beam and creates some interesting light shows on the floor around the tree.My only objection to this product is its price, which fluctuates wildly on Amazon. At its low, these lights are a decent value, especially considering the convenience of ordering online. At its high (around $19), though, the price is more than three times what big-box stores charge.

Bright...
I needed to replace the lights on my in-laws' Virgin of Guadalupe decoration and this strand was the exact length I needed. These lights are small, but they are bright. This strand isn't meant to be used like I did, the wires are *very* bulky behind it, but it worked for the holiday. I'll have to keep looking for a more ideal strand. From the last light to the plug, it's only 19" which is short for what I used them for. There are plugs at both ends, so you are able to string multiple strands together. I don't know much about lights (I just plug them in and they work or they get thrown away), but this strand has 4 big, plastic nubs as seen in my 4th photo. I don't remember seeing them on any other strand of lights LED or otherwise. Not sure what those are for. It adds to the bulkiness if you're trying to use these on a small space like I did.

LED energy savings awesome, but some not quite warm white
I like that they are LED and use way less power, and an extra benefit is you can string many more of them together on one strand because of it. Overall I'm happy with these, with one caveat, two of the strands I bought are not quite as "warm white" as the others. All the boxes said warm white, but those two are a little cooler. I had already unraveled the lights so didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to re-box them, and had enough strands that I just mixed those areas with other lights and it's hardly noticeable, except maybe to me. I would suggest plugging them all in before you unravel so that if you have one with a different tone you can easily return it.

Two sets arrived defective
These are pretty much as junk as the older cheap import incandescent strings with a few exceptions. Two of the six sets I bought had one half of the string dead. You would think it would be a simple task to find the bad LED and swap it. These LEDs are not simple to troubleshoot. The best thing to do is to use a socket from the working string to test each LED one by one. I discovered some LEDs don't light and don't power the string as expected. Some LEDs don't light but do power the string so you could have some dead LEDs in a working string. About half of the spare LEDs were defective. Some LEDs light at half brilliance. I had one that the pins were intermittent. It took me about an hour to get both sets operational and I am an electrical engineer. One positive is that the LED is stronger and more durable than the glass bulbs. No problem with breaking them with moderately rough handling. The other positive is the low power usage. The quality of manufacturing is a little better than the cheap lights but the sockets, connectors and lamp holders are the same poor design as the older incandescent lights. Time will tell if these sets will stand the test of time. At least the glass won't break through the years.

Colors incorrect. Overall great lights
I was wanting a cool white for my outside porch tree but after reading some reviews that it was more blue looking, I decided to go with the warm white instead. But After plugging it in it was obviously not warm white so I Even double checked package. So instead it’s more of a bright cool white which is what I originally wanted in the first place. So my thoughts are that they may be incorrectly packaged who knows for sure. Overall great lights.

Bright White Better Describes These Warm White Lights
These lights are much more of a bright white than they are a warm white. I plan on keeping them because they are on a small tree in the kitchen used for ambient lighting and not close to any of the warm white LED lights that we decorate with during the holidays.Note to seller- Please ship this item in a box instead of the textured white Amazon envelope/bag. The product box was torn and mashed and the lights were a bit tangled. I cannot tell if the lights I received was from a formerly returned order or just really beat up in the shipping process. However, since they appear undamaged, I'll be keeping them.

Quality... warm white blunt end LEDs
My (fake) Benjamin Ficus tree is now bright again.I have had this decorative tree light up for about 5 years. My 1st set of led lights were like (or were) the Holiday Essence brand lights with the mini blunt end bulbs. They lasted over 3 years on 24 hours 7 days a week. Then some of the bulbs started going dead.So replaced them with the more traditional flame tipped bright blueish white leds.... they did not last a year as the bulbs started to die.If these Holiday Essence bulbs start to die before the almost 3-year mark... I will update this post. But for now these are 5-stars because of their construction and being warm white (not the blueish led)

LED lights with a refresh rate? Read on...
First thing we noticed was the warm ,white just appeared to be white. Don't expect a golden glow. Secondly, and a big surprise, when this is the only light source in the room, you get a strobe light effect. I didn't know that led string lights have a refresh rate. Here's a test... With only these lights on, look at your own hand. Then move your hand. Your hand movement appears choppy. Not a huge deal, but may cause issues to those who are medically sensetive to things like this. Quite unexpected.
