Just what I needed
Attractive design; plenty of power; lets me plug in old stuff to my new computer; data transfer speed as expected. Winner.

Fantastic: did the job for 4 USB 3.0 & 2.0 Drives.
Fantastic: It did the job very well for 4 USB 3.0 & 2.0 Disk Drives. I have a couple of hubs, and for some reason they won't run external USB Drives. So, I was looking for something that works. I read the specs for many hubs on Amazon and E-Bay and a LOT of them had something in the 'fine print' about "won't work with WD Passport drives, or abc drives, or xyz drives"... I didn't get it.After lots of Web research the bottom line is: the hub's quality and design, etc. Several folks recommended trying this Belkin 4 Port hub with Power supply.I took it out of the box, plugged in the AC adapter, and 4 WD/Seagate USB Drives and they all worked 100% at USB 3.0. Then, I tested some older WD USB 2.0 drives, and they all play very well together.I'm ordering another one of these so I'll wind up with 6 USB 3.0 and 2.0 drives, both AC powered and USB powered all playing well together on my Alienware 18x Win-8 Pro machine.

ONLY ONE THAT WORKED WITH MACBOOK PRO
I have a non-retina 2012 macbook pro and like all of the current apple models we only have 2 USB 3.0 ports. I needed more ports for external hard drives. What ever you do, avoid bus powered usb 3.0 hard drives and ANY USB 3.0 Hub with a mac. I already lost one hard drive. If the hard drives have their own power supply then you can connect up to 3 of them to this hub without any problems. I also ran speed tests on all 3 at the same time and they were still out performing Firewire 800 drives. As a warning if you plug in anything to this hub that Pulls power (iPad, Bus-powered External hard drive, another USB Hub) then be prepared for it to randomly disconnect drives. Let's face it apple sucks and refuses to recognize the problem. The must have some deal with Belkin because this is the only one that they sell in apple stores and the only one that I have found to be reliable with hard drives.

Tried to use with Sim Rig
I am sure in a "normal" situation that this hub would be fine. In my situation it didn't work.I am beta testing a tactile immersion system for GT7 on PS5. I needed to have 2 external sound cards connected via USB to the computer that runs SimHub to take the telemetry from GT7 and turn it into tactile sensations for the exciters. The hub wouldn't allow 2 external sound cards to operate simultaneously. Not just this hub, but another one from a different company as well. The only way I could get it to work was to hook the USB from both external sound cards directly to the computer. This will eventually cause me to add a USB card to the computer.

Great USB extender
my computer has three USB ports but unfortunatley they are under the screen, which means I have to lift up the computer to remove or insert anything. This exter allows me 4 ports at a very convenient location so that I can select a USB port easily. No problems works very well.

USB works with iMac
Looked for a hub that would work on my 2013 iMac. Tried a few other that just did not work. The Belkin SuperSpeed has worked without error and without stopping since i put it on the iMac. I have a backup drive, fitbit, diskette drive and i use a variety of USB sticks with no error what so ever. I really like the Belkin SuperSpeed USB hub. I just wish I did not have to try the others along the way to finding one that worked well with the Apple iMac.

PERFECT
I have a MacBook Pro and the only kick is that there are not enough ports. This add-on increases my functionality without requiring me to unplug accessory X to use accessory Y. Simple, easy and dependable. A great product.

Beautiful Blue light indication but performance and reliability is in questions
I bought this Belkin Hub because I need to use it to connect and extend the limited USB 3 Ports on my retina mackbook pro.First problem is the 1m power cord is limiting the placement of this hub as it cannot be too far from your power plug.Second problem is the devices connected to it sometime disconnected occasionally (happened once a day). Not too serious but I wonder why, because i have 4 devices connect only 1 device randomly disconnected .Third problem is about the performance. My western digital 2TB usb3 version has speed around 110mb read and write if direct plug into USB 3 port on rmbp. According to the blackmagic disc speed test, only around 70mb peek at read and write by go through the HUB. I also test the transfer speed by transferring 200GB files between two 2TB western digital usb 3 HDD. The result is average 50mb to 60mb per second. It took around 2 hours to complete. It is the most pricy 4 USB 3.0 port on amazon, I paid 45 USD. As an international purchaser, I doubt I could return and get refund from Amazon and pick up another USB 3 hub.I am so disappointed with belkin this time. I have been using their previous model 7 ports USB 2 hub since 2007 and that hub still running rock solid todays.
