Monoprice 106456 USB 2.0 ATSC TV HDTV Tuner - White

I like it for what it does. I get 8 HD Channels in the area I am in, clear as a crystal. You can take snap shots & store them.You can record programs & store them. It is very easy to hook up. plugs into a USB 2.0 port,antenna hooks to the other end. I got the antenna on a high shelf. In a big metro area you should be able to pick up many more channels than I did. I would buy it again in a heart beat. A remote control came with it but I do not use it as I am at my monitor at all times it is in use.

First the CD/DVD with the software came blank. Once I contacted the seller they did point me in the right direction as to where to find the software. After setting up the software It said "No Such Interface" Finally got it to scan the channel band and it wouldn't find any channels at all. after two hours of fighting with it I gave up and considered it a loss of money and time. It will cost more to ship back including my time then it is worth however I will not recommend this product to any one given the headache it has caused me.

not great only works on Windows XP

This worked great on my old Windows 7, 64bit laptop. Drivers installed without issue from Monoprice's site, and it worked great with Windows Media Center (don't bother with the Blaze TV thing that came with it). The only thing I never got to work was the DVR functionality.When my laptop burned out (too much gaming burned out the fan), I replaced it with a Windows 8 machine. I was disappointed to learn that there are no compatible drivers for this device.I then got a cheap Windows 7 computer from Ebay for the express purpose of using this. I was surprised to find that it suddenly wouldn't work. The drivers installed fine, Windows Media Center detects it, but no signal comes through.Very disappointed. Gave it only three stars because of this.Since Windows 10 doesn't even have the option of buying Media Center separately, I'm probably just going to end up recycling this.

Worked Well!

Waste of money! Product is useless! I purchased two of these because they were cheap at the time. They worked for about a day then started acting up. Losing signal, reinstalling.

The CD that came with the unit did not read on any of my 5 CD-ROM drives and the drivers on the Monoprice site did not detect any stations. Only after scouring iinternet for older drivers I was able to get it working. The working drivers are from 2009, are unsigned and you have to force Windows 8.1 32 bit to use them. The viewer software provided is very old and I got best results using open source SmartDVB with LAV video decoders.

Doesn't work with windows 10 or mac

This did not come with Drivers for window 8.1 or 64 bits OS. And I have been waiting for several weeks for an RMA so I can return it.
