Great distance, feel and forgivness
My husband loves his TaylorMade clubs. In his mid 50's and get 250-275 yard drives with this club. Forgiving but able to work a draw or fade as needed.

Tried other drivers but none felt as comfortable or were as forgiving as the R1
Had one before, my son borrowed it so obviously I never got it back. Tried other drivers but none felt as comfortable or were as forgiving as the R1. Highly recommended for the average and above average golfer.

Sleek Black and Long off the Tee.
At Golfsmith I was getting 30 more yards out of R1 vs. the Calloway X Hot. Taylormade woods seem to always stay out front in Drivers and fairway woods. A little more click off the face than the Rocketballz but the distance is comparable. The difference is you get more adjustments and a better shaft in my opinion.

R1 Black Driver
The R1 allows you to chose from 5 different Face-Angle positions and 12 Loft-Sleeve settings between 8° and 12°. As an added bonus, you can adjust the movable Shot-Shape weights to promote a straight flight or a draw. I'm hitting the ball longer and enjoying the game a lot more.

Great driver
Best driver I've hit to date. It's very light, distance is great, and I love the sound it makes when it hits the sweet spot. I hit a friend's Titleist 913, and I would rate the R1 as being slightly better than the 913. It takes a little time to get set up right to your hitting style, but once it was, I was launching bombs in a pretty consistent straight line.

Good driver
However, this driver with normal use shows much wear and tear, it looks like its been through a war zone, for that I am disappointed. I do like the adjustments this driver has on it.

TaylorMade R1 in Black
The club hits long and is very forgiving. My old driver was a TaylorMade Burner and this club is a huge improvement for me. I was also very glad TaylorMade produced this club with a Black head. I hate the white heads on their other products and hope they do a black head version of their RocketBallz Fairway woods.
