I searched for lids to fit the Brew Dr. Kombucha 24oz bottles by Townshends Tea Company, hoping to use them for a home project. However, these lids turned out to be too large.

I make fermented soda with a ginger bug, or o just keep them for cold water in the fridge. I’m extremely anti-bottled water. This is a great solution. I strip the labels, they actually look pretty fancy to offer guests water :)

This was my 2nd order of these lids. I tested them against the original lids on reused GTs bottles. And these lids must have been much more airtight because I got WAY more carbonation on the bottles with these lids! (Same exact recipe of kombucha and general handling with all the bottles for the 2nd fermentation.) Some liquid does get between the hard plastic lid and the flexible seal. I wish that didn't happen. Because of it I think I threw away a few lids. I will now wash all my lids really well and hope for the best. The lids are too pricey to throw away after a single use. So far I'm thrilled with products from this company...lids and kombucha starter kit.

When using to naturally carbonate beverages in GT kombucha bottles it leaks air in every bottle after less than 24 hours of carbonating. Still getting good carbonation so it’s not all bad, but the sound is irritating.

I ordered 2 different types of caps for my kombucha bottles. These are by far my favorite. I liked them so much I placed a 2nd order. The other caps are going in the trash. I can say enough good things about these caps.
