Persephone the Daring (11) (Goddess Girls)

Both my daughters read practically the whole series. They have always been engrossed in these books up to 11 years old or so. What a great idea to bring mythology to life in such a cool way! I only wish there were more or that the books were longer, because as of right now they are done with them in one afternoon. Keep them coming, there is a lot of good mythology/history out there that our children can get into!

I am an 11 year old girl who does not love to read, but when I read these books I have a picture in my head and my teacher says when you see a picture in your head on what is happening that means your reading a great book. I love to read now ever since I read my first goddess girl book, Aphrodite the beauty. I really love this book and every other goddess girl book and I recommend it to you.

My 8-year-old is a devotee of this series. It seems to have helped her interest in Greek mythology and not confused her, as I had initially feared, with its hyper-liberal interpretation of the classic narrative. Sometimes I feel the content matter, with boys, peer pressure, cattiness, etc., is a bit too old for her (she began reading them at 7) but ultimately her favorite characters have their self-esteem and morality in place, and that's what she takes out of each story.

The Goddessgirl series has been a favourite of mine since Athena the Brain came out! I was very excited to see there be another Persephone book after such a long stretch of books without prominently featuring her character. She goes through things a lot of girls can relate to, especially the "go along to get along" aspect of life. Tis book also talks about other problems with (boy)friends and being worried about how others see you. I deduct a star because of boring and uncreative language. Otherwise, great job, authors!

these books are so good. i've read literary everyone. all 21. I'm dyeing for the next one to come out. if i could use emojis you wouldn't be ble to finish this review. thats how good they are. L.O.L :)

This series has been a hit with my 9yr old reader. She has shown interest in mythology and reading overall. I haven't read them but I gather they are all about girl issues such as best friends, boys, gossip and loyalty. I'm okay with her reading this as long as soon she can move on to Jane Austen...

I have read each book before my daughter reads them. I have loved the series myself. I was not sure when I saw this one how it would be. Persephone is the quietest and least wild. This book changes those opinions about her. Enough said! Don't want to ruin a good book!

This is a cool book perfectly written with it twist and turns needed in it to be a good peice for the price . I love this series this is a sweet book filled with emotion , happiness and joy. This is a great book I highly recommend this book .! ;)

As a mom i would say go for it because it is not atall that bad. Children get a chance to know gods in a fun way

Endlich sind Hades und Persephone wieder an der Reihe, ich hab sie so vermisst. Sie und Hades sind meine Lieblings Charaktere in der gesamten Reihe. Diesmal wird ihre "Romanze" auf eine harte Probe gestellt. Persephone nimmt eine Mutprobe an, die ungeahnte Konsequenzen hat und muss lernen das Zuverlässigkeit eine positive Eigenschaft ist, die Leben retten kann. Werden sie und Hades ihre Differenzen bei Seite legen können oder hat ihre Romanze doch keine Zukunft??Ich liebe Persephone ja, aber diesmal hätte ich sie wirklich schütteln können. Bloß weil sie nicht langweilig sein will bringt sie sich und anderen in Gefahr und stößt Hades vor den Kopf, dabei mag er sie doch so sehr. Aber zum Glück haben sie sich wieder vertragen und konnten Hades Geburtstag doch noch zusammen feiern.Orpheus und Eurydice konnte ich gar nicht leiden. Er ist arrogant und sie ist einfach nur durch geknallt, schade das die Furien sie nicht doch behalten haben. Ich hoffe wirklich das Persephone und Hades in den nächsten Bändern offener über ihre "Beziehung" sind. Hades hat in diesem Band so viel Gefühl gezeigt, er ist einfach ein Schatz.Fazit: Band 11 war spannend, witzig und so romantisch. Manche Abschnitte waren etwas langatmig, aber allem in allem hat die Story dem überwogen. Was ich super fand war das wir dieses mal die Handlung nicht nur aus Persephones Perspektive gesehen haben sondern auch aus der von Hades. Ich hoffe das die nächsten Bänder auch so sind. Das Cover fand ich wieder sehr schön!!
