We purchased this bar to help keep my daughter's bar skills up and to start working on the skills for the next level while her gym was closed. The package arrived in good condition, and assembly was easy enough. Rather than just being essentially just inverted T, there is additional bracing to provide stability to the bar. Even so, weighing in at 55 pounds, it's unreasonable to expect that this bar to stay firmly in place, especially on carpet, without additional weight. My daughter is 95 pounds, and placing 50 pounds at each corner handles most of her skills. If she's really pushing her limits, we'll drop an additional 50 pounds on each corner. Bags of play sand or gravel are inexpensive and easy to move as needed. One of her coaches suggested taking some fine sandpaper to to the bar itself to remove the sheen. He said that is typically handy for younger kids playing on the bar to make it easier to swing around, but for skills that require hand positioning and grip, it's detrimental.All in all, we're very happy with this purchase.

Very sturdy! My 7 year old loves it and can do just about anything on it without a wiggle. With her and I both on the bar (175lbs total) it barely dips. That being said, the fiberglass bar has a noticeable "seam" that runs the full length of the bar and over a day of use my daughter's hands were pretty blistered, I got her the gloves that night, they are only $10-15.

This bar its amazing. Its well designed and sturdy. Mu daughter its 8 and she can practice on the bar without any trouble. If you have carper it may slide a little. But overall I highly recommend.

Total ripoff, as soon as my daughter got on it and did a back hip circle the thing almost fell over,good thing I was holding one side down. She weighs only 94 pounds!
