I know that sounds like extreme praise, but this novel deserves it. It was one that kept me torn between not wanting to put it down and not wanting it to end. FEELS LIKE FALLING by Kristy Woodson Harvey pulls you in from the very beginning and weaves a story that will not let you go, even after you have finished the last word. From the outside, Gray Howard seems to have it all, but looks can be deceiving. Her marriage has fallen apart, her soon-to-be-ex is trying to take half her company, her sister’s new marriage has turned her into someone Gray doesn’t know, and her mother passed away. She’s just barely holding things together when she meets Diana Harrington and inadvertently contributes to her getting fired. Losing her job was just the latest disappointment in Diana’s life: she broke up with her boyfriend after he left her broke, which also left her homeless. Her job wasn’t great, but it was something and it kept her on track toward her dream. When another encounter with Gray leads to first a job, and later, a place to stay, this odd couple is on track to what appears to be the unlikeliest of friendships but provides each with the strength, support, and love to navigate the next stages in their lives, let go of what they thought their life should be and embrace what makes them happy and find their future may not be what they expected or planned, but is what they needed. Harvey has created two main characters who are complex and compelling. Despite their differing circumstances, their lives parallel in what they are experiencing. They both give each other the “tough love” when needed, and support the other no matter what, becoming not just friends, but family. Both characters are strong and weak in their own ways, and their friendship brings out the best in each. These are two women that I would love to be included their friend/family circle. The supporting characters are also well-developed and provide more depth to the main characters and the story. The setting is beautifully described and I could see myself in Carolina Beach and more specifically, at Gray’s home with all of them. FEELS LIKE FALLING is a novel that will have you laughing and crying as you root on these two strong women and their lives. This is a novel you shouldn’t miss! It’s the perfect beach read or anytime read. The Best!
I've been on a Kristy Woodson Harvey marathon since the pandemic. I'm thrilled I discovered Kristy's many outstanding books and have found I cannot get enough. I'm longing for more! I thought Dear Carolina was the best and after each each book, there was no comparison. Kristy makes you delve into the book and become a part of the characters. They are all so relatable in oneway or another. I wish I could meet them all. Feels Like Falling characters were exceptionally real. I loved Gray and Diana. I must start all over and read each of Kristy's book again until a new one comes out. Thank you Kristy W. Harvey. I met you at the 2016 Beaufort Wine and Food Festival as you promoted your first book. I adored your home and loved your first book Dear Carolina. And now I am hooked on you as a forever favorite author. Keep your books coming! I can't wait until we can all get together again for Book Club.

Ok book.
First book I’ve read by this author & was expecting better. I was interested enough in the characters stories to keep reading but lacked a real connection to them. It was hard to like Gray because I felt she read older than 35 most of the time. I also felt a whole lot was squeezed into the last quarter of the book with little detail or story to it- it should’ve happened sooner or some left out to focus on one or 2 events.

"Family"
This is Southern fiction at its best. The story is about what one might think is a perfect life, divorce, second chances, charity that turns into friendship, and the love of family.

Touching plot
Sometimes the person giving help also needs a helping hand. This plot shows us how that can work for both people.

A Must Read for Summer 2020!
Love. Family. Happiness. What would you do if the one that got away found you two decades later? Or if your husband is no longer in love with you and proposes to another woman before the divorce is final? Gray and Diana are two very different women in very different situations. Gray, a successful entrepreneur, wife, and mother. Diana, raised in foster care, broke, with a trail of exes that all have one thing in common: their penchants for disappointment. Gray and Diana both find one another and themselves as they both uncover real, unadulterated love. I highly suggest this book by Kristy Woodson Harvey. A perfect summer read.
