TINKERTOY – Pink Building Set – 150 Pieces – Ages 3+ – Preschool Educational Toy

This one star review is based upon poor design. My kid enjoys playing with the toy -- except for the issue described below.Some connections, once made, are impossible for a child to undo. For example, inserting a rod into the side of the spool -- the signature connector with eight holes in the perimeter and one hole on each side -- creates a vacuum that makes it difficult for an adult -- and impossible for a child -- to pull apart.This issue is easily corrected with a design change. I ran two experiments:1st - I drilled a hole through the spool so that the holes on each side were connected. The vacuum issue went away and the rod was easily removed.2nd - I cut a small grove into the rod where it inserts into the spool. The vacuum issue again went away and the rod was easily removed.I find it hard to believe that we are the only users who have experienced this issue. I also find it hard to believe that the manufacturer has not already changed its molds to include a vacuum relief grove in all connectors.

We love Tinker Toys! My daughter was excited to get her own set like her big brother! I'm glad we haven't completely done away with gendered toys! I love pink and purple Legos and other building toys or tools. This set on its own limits your ability to build, but we have 2 others and now have enough to build some really fun things!

Nice product. Fast shipping but I was expecting a box to store them. Was disappointed with a bunch of tinker toys in plastic bags. My son's tinkertoys used to come with a barrel to store them. Of course I bought these for my granddaughters so I guess a lot has changed since they were made from wood and had a storage container.

My grand-daughter loves to build and loves pink, so this set is perfect! I can't wait to see her playing with it.

I purchased this item for my granddaughters for Christmas. Hopefully they will like it.

Always a favorite for boys and girls; this pink set is a hit with my 5 year old granddaughter
