Richmond Toys New Battle Zone F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet Play Set

Nice size jet. We gave as a gift to our nephew for his birthday. I feel like $50 was overpriced for the plastic jet made in China. Nonetheless, the noises it makes were great, pilot figure and missiles were all nice. My nephew was very pleased with the gift. If it wasn't for the size of this jet, being hard to find, I am not sure I would buy this again.

For how much this costs it sure breaks apart easily.

Got this for a seven year old. Seemed a little babyish.

It's a big plane. Parts could fit together better, but it's not too bad. Just ask an adult to help assembling it, and the air superiority in the living room is yours.

after reading the other reviews. I bought it and chose to assemble then superglue the parts that people say normally pop off. problem solved :D lol

My 5 y/o was ecstatic when he opened this toy! After all, it's a huge 2 foot fighter jet. What's not to love? Well, here is what's not to love. The wing tips and one of the tail fins fall off every time I pick it up or turn it upside down. This is with me just lifting it, not him playing with it! The wing tips and tail fins are separate pieces only to decrease packing size. They should have made it one piece and increased the pack size slightly, especially the wing tips.One of the tail fins snapped on good and doesn't fall out on it's own. The other does not snap in at all. I just sits in the slot and falls out when you look at it wrong. Nothing is broke on it, it just doesn't fit. I'm going to have to get some model glue and hope that holds it in.The wing tips snap on in a crude fashion and don't fit well either. Even the picture on the box shows they don't line up at all. I'll try to glue them on too, but I don't think it will work very well as their isn't much contact area to apply glue. There is a lot of leverage to work against that glue.I am really tired of this level of quality being the norm. I would gladly pay twice as much if it were one piece and made in the USA.Regarding my star ratings:FUN: This toy would get 5 stars in fun if he could play with it without it falling apart. He loves the toy.EDUCATIONAL VALUE: This is not an educational toy at all. It doesn't claim to be and there is no reason to think it is. Should have been able to omit this rating as it doesn't really apply.DURABILITY: See above, typical Chinese complete lack of build quality.

I had purchase this toy for my son's 6th birthday, however to assist other buyers that are considering purchasing this item.- Scale: Not bad, approx 24" L, 11" W, makes for something that can keep the "boy" occupied- Construction: The vertical stabilizers (stabs) were a bit flimsy, they wouldn't secure properly to the fuselage- Armament construction: The port (left) side, inboard (most inner, closest to the fuselage) bomb rail was not receiving the ordnance well.Overall, for the price, no complaints, "boy" is happy and occupied, and I get some peace and quiet, not a bad trade off.Q1) Would I buy a similar item?Ans: maybeQ2. Is this item a total waste of money?Ans: No, not really, some minor improvement can make it a decent gift for a child or even some adults.
