Some experts recommend against adding vitamin c drops to water because it makes it harder to measure how much of the supplement your guinea pig is consuming, it can alter the taste of the water in a way that some guinea pigs might not like, and vitamin c breaks down when exposed to light so it can become less effective if left in a clear water bottle.I still prefer this product over other options primarily for it's ease of use. If you change your guinea pig's water regularly (daily or every other day) then you get a pretty good idea of how much of the supplement they're consuming. The primary concern is that they get enough vitamin C so they don't get scurvy. Excess vitamin C just gets expelled through urine, but that shouldn't be a concern unless you're over supplementing. If your guinea pig is drinking a normal amount of water and you've added these drops as directed then you're in the clear. Regularly changing the water also avoids inactivating the vitamin C since light exposure is minimized.The altered flavor of the water hasn't been an issue for my guinea pig. When I used a different product to supplement with a dose of vitamin C directly into my guinea's mouth with a syringe he rejected it so water supplementation was definitely the way to go.I recommend a smaller water bottle so you don't waste supplementing a large amount of water. It also makes adding the correct number of drops easy. I use an 11-ounce water bottle so I know that I need to add 22 drops every time I change it. One bottle of this lasts about 5 months.Great price and easy to use makes this an easy choice and an easy 5 stars.

We purchase this quite often for our guinea pigs. We add this to their water to make sure they're getting the perfect amount of vitamin C their little bodies need. It works wonders for them and helps keep them healthy and happy. They love the taste of it. You get the perfect amount in this size bottle, to last approximately a month or longer per each bottle filling. It helps keep their skin and coats healthy too. It is more affordable to order on here than any other store. Definitely recommend.

Guinea pig doesn’t mean to mind the taste. I think it smells awful but they have served there purpose as it’s helping fill in his vitamin gap and keeping him healthy.

Good for guinea pigs

We used the Vita Drops daily for our two guinea pigs. One bottle lasts quite a while.

Just a few drop in my guinea pigs water last a while! I put I two of the water bottle and one I keep plain fresh water but they always drink the one with the vitamins all gone. It definitely keeps them happy and healthy.

So let me start by saying I'm not sure why I see some bad comments for this product. I carefully reviewed the vita drops for my guinea, and I was hesitant at first because I saw a few comments about the beta not recommending the vita drops. However, I am glad I purchased the vita drops. My cute guinea use to sleep alot during the day and was not as active . After I bought the vita drops, I instantly saw results within a day. I put two drops in his pellets every day. I see my guinea very active and happy and attentive and doing his popcorns throughout the day, which I find very cute. He loves playing and cuddling . He is so smart he learned a few tricks already.Please remember. The vita drops are not a replacement for the Guinea's nutrition. The Guinea's still need their Romain lettuce, Green peppers and should always have access to pellets and hay as a daily food source. This should be given to them daily so the Guinea's can live long and healthy. I am very happy with my furry pet.

Best value for the money. A must for guine pigs. The product lasts a long time, a few drops is all you need for the water bottle.Will only buy this brand. When the product is available at the lowest price, on Amazon, buy it!
