Great time visiting saver
I like the dock a lot, wish it had a power option for the laptop.

Good as port replicator if your laptop does not support display over type-c
Top notch, bought used like new and it really seem like new (great deal when comparing against MSRP), no scratches whatsoever, it also did include the power supply and USB cable, I mainly bought it to use it as a port replicator since my laptop didn't support display output through USB type-c, perfect solution for use on normal type-a USB 3.0 ports.

Make sure your model laptop works with this product
Although this unit was suppose to work with my Lenovo X1 Extreme Laptop, I experience various issues with it and when I contacted Lenovo regarding these issues they never responded. The unit was sent back accordingly.

Painful installation
This is not plug and play. It took 6 hours to get this item to work with 2 external monitors in extended desktop mode connected to a Lenovo X1 Gen 6. It ships with no user guide so you have to go to lenovo.com to find it. You have to find the driver and install it. It does not charge the notebook so you have to buy a separate charger so 1 more cable to deal with. I got it to work after multiple reboots. I think the key is to start with 1 monitor, get that to work and then connect the second monitor. Also the Intel monitor setup app that comes with the X1 notebook gets superseded by the driver you have to download from lenovo.com

Great Dock So Far!
First, I want to say that when I bought the Ultra Dock, it was not available from Amazon, and I found the best price on the Lenovo website, got free shipping and 2nd-day air delivery. Also, I've included some notes on installation below, because you can't just use the diagram on the instruction sheet, you have to read the fine print to properly install this.I've had the dock only a couple of weeks, so not sure how it will do long term. I had two previous docking stations of a different brand, one which was DOA, and another that died after 7 months. So I really wanted a solid, compatible dock. I paid twice as much for the Lenovo for this reason, and also hoped that it would be most compatible with my Lenovo Thinkpad laptop. And no, this dock doesn't charge the laptop, but it's perfect for setups like mine where a bulky, mechanical dock of that sort would be inconvenient. I have 2 things plugged into my laptop - the power cord and this dock, and I can plug in/unplugged them in a couple seconds.Pros:Lots of USB ports - 4 x USB 3.0 and 2 x USB 2.0. The instructions suggest plugging mouse/keyboards into the 2.0 ports. I have a webcam, optical drive, wireless mouse/keyboard, and external hard drive plugged in full time. The two USB ports on the front are 3.0, one of which will charge devices like tablets and wireless headsets. An on/off switch, which few docks seem to have. I like to turn off my electronics overnight to save energy. The external monitor works flawlessly; no lag with mouse, even on games.Cons: The only real con I have is there are only 2 display ports - a DisplayPort port and an HDMI port. This means if you want to use two external monitors, at least one has to have a DisplayPort connection. I have a single external monitor, but I also like to use my TV on occasion for slideshows and movies. Both my LCD display and my TV are less than a year old, but neither one has a slot for a DisplayPort connector. So I have to unplug my monitor from the HDMI port and plug in my TV if I want to use the TV. Lenovo's other dock has an HDMI and a DVI port, but didn't have enough USB ports for my use.Notes on installation: You MUST install the Ultra Dock's drivers BEFORE plugging any devices into the dock, which you can find here: [...] I installed them after connecting the dock to the power and the computer but before plugging anything into the dock. This is in the fine print in the instructions, but you'll miss it if you just look at the diagram. Also, when I installed it, I got a message saying I had to close my Skype, Dropbox, Seagate, and Logitech processes. I don't know what would have happened if I didn't, but I do know that it doesn't take much to foul a docking station install, so I did. You will have to use the Task Manager (on Windows) to do this. All in all, I am very happy with this dock.

Useless for businesses
A docking station -- after years and years of Lenovo docking stations that always charge your laptop -- that does NOT charge your laptop???Useless for businesses! Wish they put it in HUGE BOLD RED LETTERS that it will never charge your laptop.

Glorified USB Hub - DOES NOT CHARGE THINKPAD
It's crazy that this does not charge the ThinkPad. Plan to have two open outlets in order to use it effectively during a full day at the office or home. It would almost be better to have the ThinkPad plugged in and the docking station power everthing from the laptop and not have to have 2 power sources. Bad design. If you have 2 monitors, one will have to be Display Port and the other HDMI.

Good port assortment but does NOT charge your Lenovo laptop!
I had such high hopes for this device but the expensive price-tag coupled with the fact that the dock does NOT charge your Lenovo laptop makes this a 2 star device at best. GO with another port replicator on Amazon and save yourself quite a bit of money with similar performance characteristics.

Works great and lots of ports.
Works great with a Dell laptop - the equivalent Dell dock was about twice as much for the same capability.
