I don’t like how runny it is. It’s more of a runny ointment than a cream or paste. Smells great though!

This deodorant rocks!! I have tried so many different commercial and homemade natural and aluminum free deodorants and have yet to find one that works all day with out re-applying or that works at all really. Halfway through the day I am embarrassingly ready for a shower!! Stink! UNTIL NOW!! Purely Great is it. I ordered the Men's Patchouli for myself and lavender for my teenage daughters. The both scents are not as strong as you would think they may be, especially the patchouli, so don't let that scare you away. That said, you can definitely smell both and they are very nice. I am sensitive to scents and fragrances and neither of these bother me at all. Best of all they work! They keep my armpit odor GONE all day and I have no worries that Purely Great has got me covered.Now, here's one thing you must know about this cream deodorant. It is formulated with natural ingredients that behave in a certain way, so they will want to settle and separate a little. All you need to do is give it a quick stir (little stick included in jar) to mix it up before each use and you're good to go. Not a hassle at all, just something you'd probably like to know ahead of time.I am a very happy customer! I have finally found a natural, safe deodorant that actually works for my family and me!

AMAZING! I have struggled with body odor since puberty and conventional deodorants always left me stinky and then I had to deal with build up and it just wasn’t cute. Other natural deodorants also didn’t do the trick. I did a pit detox and didn’t wear anything for a week and made NO friends doing that, and then I tried this stuff and OH MY GOD for the first time EVERRR my pits don’t smell! Like not even a tiny bit! Not after working out, not after a hot day, not even in the morning after applying it the morning before. I just miraculously stopped stinking!I’m a little annoyed that the patchouli scent says “for men” because well...I love patchouli. But, eh.Note: seriously do not put this on right after shaving. Wait several hours or the next day if you can. It doesn’t hurt, but I tended to get armpit zits if I put it on right after shaving- and those suckers do hurt. I started to wait a few hours afterwards and I haven’t had a problem.

I've been on the lookout for an effective deodorant that does not contain that aluminum stuff. It seems like everything off the shelf has aluminum, which always eventually seems to start irritating my armpits. I saw this brand reviewed in an article, it got good reviews here, so I decided to try it. I chose this variety because I like the scent of patchouli.I'm very impressed! The deodorant seems very effective. More effective, even, than the various antiperspirants I have tried! The scent is stronger than I expected, but that is not a bad thing, as both my wife and I like the smell. I have a very physical job, and still I can go a couple of days with only one application of this stuff. Yeah, you need to stir it up with the little included spatula each time, but big deal. A little dab'll do ya!

***Update** I went to other deodorants and had very little success so I came back to this one and it works the best for me. Just need to mix it a little before use, no big deal. So far no other natural deodorant works for me as well as this one. Sorry took me so long to realize it.** this was my initial experience **Was working fine and I had no problem about the fact that it's necessary to stir it before use. But then I took it on a trip, long international trip and it's consistency changed and it doesn't easily apply to under arms any longer. I have tried to stir it and it's just not the same any longer. If you don't plan to go on a long airplane trip then item is fine. Otherwise don't get it.

I sweat a lot, but antiperspirants irritate the heck out of the ole axilla...and regular deodorant smells great for an hour or two, the suffers a total product failure. I've been using the PurelyGreat patchoulli pit paste for about a week, and it's awesome. I gave it a good stir when I first received it, and it doesn't need much work after that. I dabbed a pea sized amount on a digit, rubbed it in, and can go two days sweating with no pit smell...awesome! It has a bit of a patchoulli/bergamot scent at first, but after a few hours, doesn't have much scent. It works better than anything I've ever tried, and doesn't irritate at all.

hm. i wanted to love this product but had a difficult time with the fact that it kept separating... the oil separated from the baking soda and I kept having to either use my finger to stir it up or use some weird stick thing to stir it. just a little annoying. also, i bought the men's and it did NOT smell like patchouli. I think I got the green one which ended up smelling like citrus. not my fave. ah well. back to tom's lavender non toxic deodorant.

Smells like very strong citronella. I cannot smell any patchouli at all. I can imagine how disgusting it would smell with sweat. Since they have a “no return” policy, it will go in the trash. Extremely disappointed. I do NOT recommend.
