Prince: Chaos, Disorder and Revolution Paperback – April 1, 2011

If you are a die hard Prince fan, this book is a very interesting read. It gives you insight into his life as it conincided with his music career. If you are a music lover, it will get into all things creative in the ways Prince put his music together, his work ethic, and his emotionality in his creativity. This book is not a "biography," but it is a carefully researched book about the life in the music of this creative genius.

Good. Some new stuff on Prince's early life. Best about this bk, though, is the look at post-2000 Prince, as this latter period is both confusing and not particularly well-documented, usually. Draper does a good job, though.

Still reading it but good so far, always been a fan of his music, good to know a little bit more about his life.

I read other Prince biographies and I enjoyed this one the best! It was very interesting and easy to read. I would definetely recommend it to Prince fans.

Okay book about the life of Prince, parts are quite well written, but lacks the punch of Alex Hahn's possessed or heartfulness of Liz Jones's Slave to the rhythm. Offers little new and gets gossipy towards the end. Not to say its a bad book, the author knows the musical output well and his reviews of the music are succint. A worthwhile but not essential release. Not one for the newbies, but essential buying for the completist and a casual read for the average fan.

It's interesting to read different authors views about Prince.This is definitely one of those good books you can't put down.If you're a true Prince fan this book makes for good reading.
