FurReal Friends StarLily, My Magical Unicorn (Amazon Certified Packaging)

This is the only thing my daughter wanted for her birthday. The only thing she talked about and hinted at for 6 months !! All the way up until the day we gave it to her it was all she could think about, she wanted nothing else and all the other gifts she was blessed with paled in comparison to her ! Boy was she lit up like a Christmas tree when she opened this package !! The reason this gets five stars is that it made her the happiest girl on her birthday, plain and simple. Star Lily is cute, super soft to the touch although not too cuddly because she is, after all a robotic doll. Although she doesn't talk she makes plenty of cute sounds and her horn lights up different colors, she bats her eyelashes and opens and closes her eyes are well as moves her head around. My daughter got to play the game on the app and it kept her busy for at least 2 hours at a time ! She is still fairly captivated by this toy even 2 weeks later which says a lot because being 8 now she moves on to the next plaything pretty quick sometimes. I have seen her playing with the doll, talking to her and including her in other playtime activities. I really like that the more you play with her, the more she will respond and do. The song Star Lily "sings" is super cute ! Overall, I would get this again if only to make my little girl happy ! Because she is pleased with it, I am glad I got it. I would have like it better if she came with batteries, especially for the price paid ! So, beware, if you are purchasing, you will need to get your own batteries. It would have been double sweet if she walked, price paid and all. I am not sure how young I would recommend this toy for, it would depend on how responsible your child is and how well they handle their toys, only you would know that. But the wings could get damaged if the child isn't very gentle.

***UPDATED AND EDITED- MY TODDLER HAS NOW OPENED AND PLAYED WITH STARLILY***(NOTE: This is my daughters first FUR REAL PET.)Im a HUGE believer in the quote, "Your face says it all" and boy oh boy did my daughters face SAY IT ALL!! :D She LOVES LOVES StarLily!(i've updated with a picture of my daughter playing with her new favorite toy)Let me start by saying, Lily is amazing. She has an App that you download for free onto your phones or tablets and then connects with it in real time while your child plays with the app! Your child will work their way through the puzzles and games to collect "sugar berries" and other toys that the enchanted land will be decorated with, and the only way to collect these treasures is by playing through different mini=games WITH StarLily. One of the mini-games is your child feeding berries to StarLily by "throwing the berry" TO the UNICORN. StarLily catches them and her horn will light up as well as she stomps her hooves in delight!I normally don't follow through with edits on amazon, since I'm a busy mom of two toddlers. However, This toy really is AWESOME! I could gush about it all night after seeing my daughters face and excitement! (although the tantrum when bedtime came and her finding out Lily won't be sleeping with her was less than stellar..) LOL. This was such a great buy.My only negative is that StarLily doesn't walk. If she walked I would be the first to spam my social media with the how fantastic Hasbro has done this year. Don't let that sway you from purchasing this though, your child will love it regardless.

I bought this because my daughter loves Unicorns with wings. I bought this after I read the reviews of problems with the app. I’m glad I didn’t listen to the reviews. I tested this product out to make sure she worked, nothing worse then opening a present to find it doesn’t work. Star Lily worked and then I tested her out on the app. Yes, she still works with the app. I’m using an 6th generation IPad thats updated to IOS 13. It does say that IPad Air 1&2 is compatible, but the app works. However, it is glitchy at times with sounds. I do have to agree with other users, it’s a lot of money for what it does. I would buy the simba one instead of this, but she loves unicorns. Simba is a lot cheaper and talks.I received a good product, it was double boxed. The unicorn was in its own box, a store box and inside a card board box, that was shipped in another box. Perhaps it was from the hasbro warehouse.

When I first saw StarLily, I knew right away that I wanted to play with her...er, my daughters would surely love to play with her ;) I couldn't believe how much personality she seemed to have just by watching the videos online. Finally she was given as a gift to my youngest for her 6th birthday. She was an instant hit!!! Her sisters (ages 9,10 and 11) are still fighting over it too :) No disappointment whatsoever. Connection instantly worked out to the kids' iPad minis, and took about 10 seconds initially and even less later on. I think it's interactive enough and definitely developing "new" sound effects and movements as the time goes by. We love her!!! Gorgeous too and I can't get over the mobility, very realistic looking to the point of kinda cutely-freaky sometimes!! Quite frankly I don't understand the negative reviews, granted it was not a cheap present but StarLily is huge, and my girl won't put it down for a moment since she received it. It was very worth it. I would love if the app had more to offer, but it was not made for older kids and adults, and for this younger kid age group it's cute and perfect as is! Just superb. Thank you FurReal! When I was a kid I only dreamt of such magical toys like these, 30 years later now it's reality!
