Awesome Rock Slider at an awesome price.
I am very happy with this set of Rock Sliders. I read that the powder coat was thin but my set looked well powder coated. I didn't take any chances and put on a couple of thick coats of paint. They mounted up nice and tight on my '98 TJ. I've installed a couple of sets of different rock sliders so I knew what to watch out for. The biggest trouble may come from loosening the four body mount bolts. Be careful not to twist them off! Use lots of PB Blaster and work the bolts back and forth to loosen them. Actually you will need to loosen the front body mount bolt as well so when you jack up the body it will rise enough to slide the mounting slots between the body and the riser block. Also, it would be of great importance to purchase some "Rocker Guard Gasket" to help protect the paint between the rock slider and the body. They look awesome on my Jeep and now my dog has a step to assist him in getting in and out of my lifted TJ.

Look Great - Moderate Install
Installed in an evening with help from a friend. I have had them on for several months now and they are holding up well and look great. We will see how they hold up in their first winter.

Great value, not a one man job, look great!
Great product, and worth every penny. I would recommend calling over a couple buddies over to assist. Installed on my 2001 TJ, had difficulty creating enough space between the body and frame, but with some muscle, leverage, and a few choice words I got them in.

Good piece overall with a little modification.
Overall for the price these rock sliders are a really good piece, there's a few things that are important to know.If you have aftermarket fenders/flares it can be a very tight fit in the rear. I scratched the paint off my rear steel flares during installation, not a big deal to me but its a good idea to use some masking tape for protection. When I installed them, I actually removed all 3 center body bolts. Its a good time to use some antiseize on those bolts to prevent them rusting. The rubber bushings are usually stuck to the washer above so make sure you separate them. So it should go: frame mount, bushing, rock slider, washer, then body in that order.I was struggling to get everything lined up and upon inspection found the notches where it fits around the body bolt sleeve were very narrow. So I took an angle grinder and opened the rear slot maybe a 1/8th inch. Once I did that it slid in without issueThe last issue I had was with the rear bolt that goes into the tub. It that area the tub is double walled and the bolt ends up too short to thread into the nut. I took my drill and wallered the hole on the inside so I could get it started but it wasn't ideal. The best thing would be to have a half inch longer bolt for the rear.Overall its a good quality piece. Fits well with a little adjusting here and there and much cheaper than some of the big name brands. The finish looks really nice and seems like it would be fairly durable. Time will tell.

Solid So Far
The EAG rock sliders with steps arrived quickly and securely packaged. The directions were a bit thin on details. You could install them with the directions with no problem, but I had watched a couple of YouTube videos on how to install prior to ordering. So, I felt pretty confident going into the process. It can be completed with one person, but a couple of jacks and extra materials are helpful. It would have been nice if I had an extra pair of hands, but it wasn't necessary.I'm holding off on rating the sturdiness, because it's currently only seeing road use. I do appreciate the new look.Once the weather warms up, I plan to remove them and treat the metal underneath rock sliders. I don't want any rust surprises while they're on.

Watch for rust
Haven’t installed it yet but it looks well built. Powder coat seems questionable. Hopefully it doesn't rust in less than a day like the corner armor and the flares I bought as a set and already installed..

Great product
Great product for the price! Only issue is that the hole you have to drill out in front of the rear tire, the bolt isn’t long enough because of the hump in that spot.
