It is well written and profusely illustrated. Written by Architects it explains the history and evolution of Hospitals in American society and discusses in detail the changing Hospital forms and functional units as well the reasoning behind the various design concepts.The authors make a compelling case for Evidence Based Design for creating a healing environment through design, in which the Architect can play a major role.
