It's a Timmy®!
I own a Timmy v2 and this sounds almost identical. It's the tiniest bit more compressed, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The bass and treble controls on a Timmy are fabulous (the order of knobs L/R top to bottom is the signal chain, I've read, wonderfully simple and intuitive design, and an important concept to understand when using the Timmy). This Timmy doesn't have the "backwards" sweep on the knobs like the full size does, as well, which I also quite like. The Timmy can be used as a simple but powerful EQ, as well as a huge clean boost, light or dirty OD, and even a volume or tone cut, if you set it up that way. It's just an excellent piece of kit, a real desert island device. Having it so small makes it even better! Put two on your board to get the most out of it! Cut, boost, drive, EQ - your imagination is the limit.

An excellent Timmy and the package is a good value
You've probably heard the Timmy sound. It's understated, engaging, and genre defining. This one is very well done and priced right.

Great light to medium OD tones and more
I think Don Carr from Sweetwater said it best…”…I think we can all agree, yeah, it does that ‘thing’. And that thing is not get in the way of your hands, guitar, and amp.” It’s true…it does exactly that ‘thing’. High headroom that keeps your organic tone intact, and dial in the gain as needed. EQ is super easy, treble and bass are cut only…so just take away what you don’t need, or max the dials out for your full tone. The clip toggle provides wide open symmetrical clipping (center position), a slight compressed asymmetrical clipping (left position), and noticeably compressed symmetrical clipping (right position) for the stylings that fit the moment. The miniature format helps keep that pedalboard space management in check. It stacks great with other pedals (I have mine going into a JHS Morning Glory, then into a Wampler Tumnus Deluxe)…it’s all the tone I could need out of an overdrive stack. 10/10 would recommend!

Good Overdrive
Good versatile overdrive. Kind of like a tubescreamer but some clipping options (how edgey sound you want) and a treble/bass control. I get a little thicker sound than a tubescreamer. Not the best at heavy gain, just a good light overdrive.

The best overdrive ever?
This may be the perfect overdrive pedal.I’ve (so far) played it with a dual-humbucker Hamer guitar and a Gretch semi-hollowbody, in in both cases the real sound of the guitar came through. It doesn’t disguise your sound. It does provide a lovely crunch and a boost.I have a RAT 2 distortion, a Tumnus (Klon clone), and the MXR Timmy in my chain, and I’ve been tempted to turne the other two off.The EQ settings are a pre-gain bass and a post-gain treble control so you don’t have to sound blown-out from too much bass in the distortion, nor too stabby and fizzy from the treble after the gain and volume. This, by the way, is the reason for the unusual ordering of the knobs: they follow the signal path: bass, then gain, then volume, then treble. The three-way toggle is a bit more subtle. I can tell the differentce between the center (asymmetrical) vs the left and right setting, but the left and right sound pretty much the same to me so far.It is my favorite overdrive, used as a crunch pedal, a boost, or a simple tone shaper.
