Everything it says it is. Seems sturdy. I would opt for a loupe with a light, but if you have a lamp to help with brightness then you should be alright with this.

Lots of cool features in a such a small thing!
I have always wanted a small magnifier like this. It has so many applications--looking at coins, stamps, or old photos, inspecting jewelry, removing splinters, etc. This one is especially cool because it unfolds into a freestanding unit, and you can adjust the screwy thingy to get a more accurate measurement of whatever you are inspecting. It even has two LED lights to really give you a good look, which is super handy. The 10x magnification is more than enough for virtually any need I can foresee, and I love how it folds down and has a protective case so you can drop it into a drawer or a pocket or whatever. The leather case isn't the best quality; you can even see in my photos that the stitching is bad and several threads are loose, but I'm not too bothered about the case. All in all, I'm delighted with this magnifier, and I think every household should have one.I hope sharing my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase. Happy shopping!
