Undone (Pregnancy & Passion)

Last in series- Wounded hero trope
Undone by her Tender Touch was the original title of this, the fourth in the Pregnancy and Passion series by this author.Cam is last man standing out of the four friends and he's a tough nut to crack, because REASONS. Yes, Cam lost a wife and child. I can tell you this because it's on the back cover blurb. Not that Pippa has read the back cover blurb so she's pretty much flying by the seat of her pants with Mr No Commitment, blow hot blow cold.Pippa, friend to Ashley of book three, is a tough, no holds bar chick who has had to make her own life. Her career choice is pastry cook, caterer and she wants to own her own store. She and Cam have been eyeing each other off since they first met at a party with Ashley. Now she's catering for Ashley's housewarming and Cam is hovering. Did I mention his house is practically next door to Ashley and Devon's new country mansion? Probably not, but it is conveniently situated nevertheless.Convenient when Pippa abandons her catering gig and skives off with Cam for the best hanky panky ever. Using lots of condoms because Cam and Pippa are both not into the whole commitment thing. It's all about the one night stand. Pity about the broken condom. Yup. Sounds like that was a pretty active shower event. So what does Cam do? He reels in shock, waits 24 hours, and contacts Pippa. After saying he never ever rings after the fact. As Pippa reminds him, before reeling in shock. This book should have been called something like The Dance of Love. Because it's like one of those dances where they come together, push each other away, then come together again. Wash, rinse, repeat. The interesting thing in this whole story is that surely his mates know he was once married but NONE of them mention it. Not even Devon. These guys should have been spies.I did find this a little emotional at the end, earning the five stars. The series was tied up nicely too.

Typical Drama for Harlequin
I read about to the middle then couldn't stand it anymore. Heroine kept being "me me me" and downsizing the hero's pain of what happened to him and say, "get over it! Love me!" It got old really fast. Plus the author has a tendency that in each of the books of the series everyone gangs up on the hero of the story and doesn't matter if there is some truth to what they say, heroine is right no matter what.Don't bother reading unless you want some serious unreasonable drama.

More pages please, 3.5 Stars
Of the four books I really like this main character the most because she showed the most real modern and independent woman compared to the other three. She was strong and vulnerable at the same time and accepted help when she needed it - not too head strong and stupid! YAY. She makes the most rational decisions when the hero offered her ridiculous and unrealistic choices.Like the other three books this had some grovelling because the guy was an idiotic jerk but I thought he should have done more or shown more that he was genuinely apologising and a changed man rather than the "I love you and I'm sorry" and I was annoyed that she was like "I love you and you're forgiven".Everything happened in only a few pages, I wish Maya Banks had written longer - I know in those few pages had days and weeks go by but I wanted to read that progress and actually be part of the man's turmoil and repentance and the woman's heart slowly softening to forgive him.

Worst Female Lead EVER!
I hunted down the 4 books in this particular series saving this book for last because I thought it would be the best. I was tired of Pippa by the 3rd paragraph. I was hoping Pippa would get a little more grace and humility in her character as the book went along but the more I read it the more I hated Pippa and WANTED Cam to run for the hills. It was a story about Pippa with a little bit of Cameron thrown in. As for her being tender...really? She basically showed ZERO sympathy to Cameron over the loss of his wife and child. She showed ZERO care for Cameron at all as a matter of fact, and if anything I felt Cameron was the one who was done wrong! So while the other 3 books were great and left me feeling warm and fuzzy, this one left me feeling cold and grumpy. I got through most of it but 10 pages from the end I just couldn't handle the female lead anymore.

Really good 4.5....not quite a 5
I really liked Cam and Pippa's story, but it fell short of Devon and Ashley's "Tempted by Her Innocent Kiss". I've read all 4 books in this series and this is the 2nd best one. Pippa is a strong character, not stupid or innocent. (I dislike STUPID.) Cam is driven by a terrible loss. He is up front with Pippa and she understands and agrees to his demands. She is not looking for HEA either. She's too busy. I won't put a spoiler in here, but he finally comes to terms with the past so he can go forward. The book does have a HEA! I guess the reason I liked Devon and Ashley's story better is because in Ms. Banks scene where Devon tells Ashley he did not love her, I could see in my mind the light leave Ashley's eyes. That really takes some writing. I recommend all the books in this series. You won't be sorry! Also, you may want to check out Ms. Banks' "Highlander" series. All three of those books are great! I see in other reviews where some reviewers disclosed that they had receive the book free for review and I see nothing wrong with that. After saying that, I admit to buying all my books. Enjoy your read!

Heartbreaking and lovely!
I love Maya Banks books, but this one was heartbreaking and that's why I love it more! I cry and cry and cry so much for Pippa that my eyes where puffy when hers where! Seriously if you haven't read anything from Maya your wasting your time, she's great at what she does!Cam was an idiot, bastard and mostly an ass. He suffers the consequences and begs for forgiveness (I love when they beg). Pippa it's such a strong woman with a heart so big but so bruised that you have to read the story to find out if the forgive him! 😝

Undone by her tender touch
Ooohhh the angst!! I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Hot protective alpha hero who messes up spectacularly and finishes with a HEA perfect.

Lovely read
A nice lovely read, perfect for evenings or holidays. Likable characters and a storyline that keeps you interested throughout. This story focuses on Pippa and Cameron, who recognises that attraction between them and after a night together find Pippa pregnant. Cameron wants to take care of Pippa and be an active father, however struggles with feelings of love and emotion, something that Pippa wants.A nice little read, with great characters and a nice happy ending. A perfect easy, romantic read

Another fun romance
All the components here for the classic romance. Nice selection of characters that relate in their own ways. The obligatory angst, drama and joy. Good value and a good read as well. What more can you ask for.
