Good quality can with excellent hinges and locking levers. I mounted it on my Kioti tractor to be used as a toolbox. It is large enough to hold several large crescent wrenches, a variety of screwdrivers, pliers, and various other hand tools you may need in the field. The box has an excellent sealing gasket which is secured by good levers than press the top down perfectly, making for a dustproof and waterproof box. I added a 1/4" thick plywood floor inside the box so the mounting bolts through the box into the toolbox pan will not pull through the plastic. It worked perfectly. The price is excellent, and the shipping was fast. It should be fine as an ammo can, but I also highly recommend it as a toolbox mounted on your power equipment.

Very nice and heavy duty ammo can. I use this box to hold 1000 rounds or AR15 ammo and it does the job quite well with a little space left over. At first I was unsure how durable this box would be but found it very heavy duty. It also includes a gasket in the lid so that when you close the box it becomes water proof. I have stacked these ammo boxes 4 high and they top and bottom corners of the case enable them to almost lock into each other to help them from sliding around. There is also a place to install 2 padlocks on the box in the front on the right and left side. Not too sure why one would lock a plastic box because a criminal would rather take it than empty it, maybe to keep little hands a little bit at bay. The handle has a nice and easy grip to it. You hand will not get sore carrying this box a little distance. PROS: - Heavy Duty plastic - Holds ample amounts of ammo or other items - Has rubber gasket seal on the bottom side of the lid in a grooved track to prevent water penetration - Strong double snapping clasp on front - Strong hinge system - Will accept 2 padlocks on front right/left - Comfortable handle that can take the weight of the contents - Top and bottom has notches/raise areas that allows slip-proof stacking - Have stacked 4 filled cans without damage (better to limit at 3 as 4 starts to feel unstable) CONS: - Item price appears to have gone up with popularity

Awesome for storage, they seal really well and they stack on each other. Main thing to look out for, is that if you fill the can all the way (in my case 1600 or so rounds of 9mm), don't walk around with it to you. Took this to a class and the handle detached from the case. No spills but still annoying. Handle didn't break and just clicked back into place like nothing happened. Just be mindful that if you fill these all the way, they should be used mainly for storage, not for transport.

for $10, you get a good value. These boxes are extremely tough. I've been using them for a while now. I mostly use them for storage at home. Mainly just to categorize and organize my ammo by caliber, brand, and weight. I filled one to the brim with loose (in small bags of 100) 9mm bullets. The weight including the box came out to 54lbs on the dot. The case does not show any structural weakness when I carry it by its handle and no bulging at the sides when sitting on the floor even with that much weight inside. However, I did notice a very small amount of sag in the very middle between the lid and body when carrying it by the handle (about 1/8 inch) but nothing that concerned me. With both latches closed I was completely confident that I could carry it around by the handle all day without issue. The sag was not enough to expose a gap but even a little gap could let moisture in so keep that in mind when you load these things up if you will be carrying them in the field and moisture or contamination is a concern. I imagine you could wrap a strap around the box and under the handle in the middle if you really had to but I feel like splitting the load up into more boxes would be the practical solution considering the price. All and all, I will continue to buy more as needed. This may be a insignificant point to most but I feel it's worth noting. The plastic these boxes are made of do not stink. Unlike a lot of cheap plastic products you may get from wal-mart or harbor freight that have that plastic solvent smell. Which in actiuallity is exactly what that smell is when and if you do smell it. They use solvents to help liquify the plastic and if not cured or treated properly, some solvent remains and can take months/years to evaporate out. During that time, your breathing it in if you keep anything like that inside your home. So for me, the fact that these are cheap and also do not seem to have any plastic smell to them is a major plus.

Made with high quality materials. It feels very sturdy and is lightweight. It currently holds about 500 rounds of 9mm ammo. I think it's at capacity, but it holds more than I thought it would. I'm in a very humid climate, and it seems to be keeping it all dry. I will be purchasing more.

I love these boxes and have several. Based on the US Army's .50 calibre ammunition boxes, but in plastic by MTM. They are very well made, water resistant, and the carrying handle and locking latches are excellent. There are holes for a padlock if you want one. Among other things, I use these to keep jacking and recovery gear in my Jeep, to store my set of Japanese waterstones and other sharpening tools for my knives and axes; my fletching and arrow making tools and of course to carry ammunition to the range! They are stackable, can hold a remarkable amount of stuff and they are strong. I could not be without them.
