Skechers Energy Men's Downforce Sport Lace-Up

Please do NOT buy these Skechers.I've been wearing Skechers for about 10 years. I started buying them online a few years ago. In fact, I've bought Skechers on Amazon 12 times. They WERE my go-to sneakers. Comfortable and durable.Never again.Skechers must have switched suppliers because even though I buy the EXACT same style every time (except one) these are the FLIMSIEST sneakers I've ever seen. The last few pairs have been questionable but this last pair was DOA.After a few weeks of normal wear there is already a hole in the sidewall.I noticed the last few times that Skechers was using thinner material. The toe kick used to come over the toe. Not anymore. Even the shoelaces are shorter (no kidding!). It all adds up to cheaper material, less material, thinner material.These sneakers DO NOT LAST like theey used to.So after 12 pair on Amazon (plus a few before then) GOOD BYE SKECHERS!*****Don't believe me? I am beyond disappointed with these great-looking, well-fitting, very comfortable shoes!After merely 5 weeks, the toe of the left shoe starting separating at the sole, first just one side then both,. Then this same shoe started having loose and unraveled stitching around the eyelets and other locations, primarily only on the left shoe.Then just two weeks ago, the same separation process started on the right shoe, first one side and then soon enough the other too! This right shoe became unattached far more quickly than the right one and just last night I heard a muffled 'pop' sound, only to find that the entire front of the sole on the right shoe has separated nearly two inches back from the toe of the shoe!And then there's the entirely separate ODOR ISSUE! Geez Louise, but these shoes STINK, BADLY! Whatever synthetic materials used to line these and the insole too, is made from creates a foul, lingering stench that forces me to keep these shoes out of my closet, my bedroom! NASTY STINK, GAGS ME!My only gratification is knowing I bought them with gift cards and only actually spent $8 out of pocket for these extremely disappointing shoes! I would have hated to be reliant upon them for heavy duty hiking and such, I just use them as everyday shoes, and even at that level of expectation, they failed. So discouraging!

I've worn sketchers before and been quite happy with them which is why I was willing to buy a pair online without trying them on first.These sneakers are VERY poorly made. Within a couple of months, the sneaker started separating from the sole at the side, and now on both sneakers, the padding at the heel has worn away and a rough piece of plastic is exposed giving me blisters on my heel. And I am not hard on sneakers. I don't go hiking or running around. I have a desk job. These shoes should have lasted a year or two like the last pair of Costco brand sneakers I bought. See photo to see where the seam started separating. This is not a part of the shoe that gets any stress, its just crappily put together. Horrible horrible quality! I will never buy a pair of sketchers again!

I will say I'm a fan of Skechers shoes but sometimes I do question why. Overall these are a nice pair of shoes and I am happy with them but there are definitely some positives and negatives...Positives:Look - They are a good looking shoe and I certainly have no problem wearing them around.Comfort - Aside from the foot padding (see below) they are a comfortable shoe that fit very well. I use them for hiking and playing pick up hockey.Negatives:Foot Padding - Skechers also has shoes with Memory Foam which are extremely comfortable. This particular shoe does not have that.Wear and Tear - If you do a lot of running, walking or start/stop movement in these shoes the bottom of the shoe will start to wear and tear pretty quickly on the sides. I'm continually picking pieces off and throwing them away.All and all they are really good for the cost but they certainly aren't perfect.

These shoes are very comfortable. I had originally purchased a brown pair in a store and later bought a black pair on Amazon. The big difference is the pair from Amazon is incredibly poor in terms of quality. I have been waring them for about a month and they are falling apart and not wearable. What gives?

I bought this because I already owned a brown pair which I have used to walk many miles over 6 years in all conditions and are extremely comfortable and still going strong. These are a perfect fit for my size uk10 feet with socks and felt sturdy a little firmer probably because new. Over all I'm very pleased with it

Nothing like the usual Sketchers sizing. Way too small. Very disappointed and now have to front the returns postage.Lesson learnt don't buy out of the UK.

El calzado es tal cual en la foto...esta igual, la suela la siento media dura, espero no sea muy resbalosa aunque tiene figuras para aderirse al suelo, es muy ligero... pense que seria mas pesado...me gusta el material sintentico de color negro que tiene en la punta,se ve de buena calidad, la apariencia de la piel se confunde parece piel sintetica casi no distinge si es piel o sintetico , me ajustaron bien ... Lo malo es que tardaron en llegar ...se tardaron dos dias mas , en el rastreo de DHL paso por 4 ciudades de estados unidos , luego se dio un tour por varias ciudades de México incluso regreso a la ciudad de México 3 veces...

These are great shoes. I ordered a half size too big and did so by experience with other shoe purchases and I would say these were a half size too big for me. They are true to fit! The tread is great, the feel is nice. I really think these will be great walking shoes for Autumn/Early winter.

Good runners. The only beef I have is that the sole is on the hard side. Takes a bit getting used to if you are switching from softer sole shoes. Also, on a wet floor, especially tile ,or coming from the outside with wet runners, you are walking like on ice.
