Great quality for the price! Sturdy, Durable and easy to use! Very solid overall Great combination of quality heavy duty plastic & aluminum. Adjusts up and down fairly easily. Great for those situations where you need to tilt your speedlight/ umbrella up or down toward the subject! Fits my Yongnuo Speedlites Great along with my 60-Inch Umbrella. (Holds a pretty heavy load!) Perfect for outdoor Photoshoots. Ideal for radio control that doesn't need to be seen by your camera.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it doesn't come with the 1/4" and 3/8" Adapte to attach it to a tripod,or some other device. (not included) Although for that price I cant complain!Slower Delivery but worth the wait!Overall I'am very pleased with this purchase & would buy a second time.

20180810: just got these. Construction is metal. Thumbscrews are large. Unfortunately, no machined groove in the top of the thumbscrews for a screwdriver, but the head is large, so not likely to need. Cold shoe has a slightly oversized lip, so it fully covers the base of the speedlight. Giving a 4-star rating for now. I will put these in service tomorrow morning and update this review if they perform other than as expected.

I bought a kit with stands/mounts/umbrellas for speedlights a few months back and while most of it was fine the mounts quickly fell apart and I picked up a bunch of these to replace them. I was very happily surprised with how sturdy and easy to use they were VS some quirks on my last set. And well there's not much else to say here since they just do their job and do it well which is probably the best review I can give for gear I use in my work.

Most of this mount is aluminum. The knobs are plastic, but the threads are metal. The swivel in the middle has nice deep notches that are not going to slip out of place. The two downsides are these: It will not stop at true vertical or at a right angle, and the thumb screw on the shoe mount can easily be unscrewed all the way releasing a couple tiny screws that may be impossible to find.

amazing value... perfect fit and made of metal the cold shoe is secured by 2 screws!!! so positive grip is perfect...once you secure it to your light stand adapter if feels secure the umbrella screw is brass not plastic and that segment is also metal. The angle grip feels secure and because it is teethed the angle is maintained three pronged knob feels comfortable and not much force is required for a positive grip.Definitively the best buy i've done in a long while.

This is a good product. Well worth the cost. I wish there was an independent pivot point from the umbrella, as the flash will point too high and you cannot adjust so the flash can go right through the middle of the umbrella modifier.

these are far superior to the plastic ones that are available, the ONLY bad part is you must put a little piece of tape or something over the flash trigger contacts (it will cause mis-fires) due to the construction being all metal. That's something that i will deal with BECAUSE, they hold the flash trigger set up so well.

Works as described. The only complaint I have it the screw-on knob for the hot shoe connection will completely spring out of place (spring, too!) if you unscrew it too far. It was sort of a hassle to put back on but other that that it works just fine.

Too be honest I paid more than double for an equivalent in the past.These are a solid all metal body except for the knobs and these are plastic and that's just like the expensive versions...I'd definitely buy these again.

Took *a while* to arrive from China but the actual product appears to be well made and good value , I wish I had ordered a couple at the time now :-)

Now this is something to write about! Metal but lightweight flash mount umbrella adapter (type E). It is very well engineered, with large thumbscrews on hotshoe and umbrella grips. Additionally a hefty, sprung, three prong thumb wheel to adjust the brolly tilt which is 'stepped' feeling very secure. Another quality thumb grip to secure to light stand rounds off this fantastic mount. I bought one to see the quality, I'm off for some more before you lot get there first, after finding out how good this really is......... Simply Brilliant!!
