Asus Desktop Motherboard - Intel Z170 Chipset - Socket H4 LGA-1151 Z170-DELUXE

While expensive, I think this was the right motherboard to pair with an Intel 6700K processor. I went with a black and white theme, which the motherboard does well if you don't mind the minor blue accents. Installation was a breeze, fan headers are plenteous, and I appreciate the front panel block that allows you to plug in all of your little front-side pins far more easily. If I could make changes, I would alter the indicator lights and the various buttons (power, reset, status LED) to white to avoid contrasting with the color theme of the board. White lights go well enough with any build, but yellow or amber do not. It's a small thing, but it's a thing.I'm including a picture to show you what I mean. Ignore the lights on the right as those are reflections from the background. Also, apologies for the ketchup and mustard cables. I'll be getting white sleeved cables to replace. And yes, the case is a Phanteks Enthoo with tempered glass.RAM is Corsair Vengeance 3200, cooler is Captain 240 (old on with black radiator) and graphics card is an EVGA Classified 980 Ti (pretty much the cheapest I could find at $400) which will eventually be replaced. Build is finished out with some Corsair RGB fans and a Hue +.I've been running this rig for a couple of months and I'm very pleased with the motherboard. Other than cables, the only thing I'd change is a better graphics card with better presentation, an 850 gold PSU, and the newer Captain 240 with the white radiator.

Worked flawlessly for the first 2 months after I built it. Yesterday, however, the system fails to post and throws a 4F error code (DXE IPL Is Started). I get no video (even with the on board HDMI), no keyboard/mouse functionality, and worst of all no BIOS. The system is completely hung with the 4F error. I tried the few solutions I found online and then some but very few people seem to know what causes this POST failure.I reset the CMOS, did a BIOS flashback to the original BIOS that came with the system, tried one stick of ram in multiple slots, resat the processor, removed my video card in case that was a problem, etc etc.Unfortunately, it seems the board is dead (most likely the result of a crapped out BIOS).Today, I spoke to ASUS tech support and they were absolutely fantastic and will be shipping me a new board as soon as they are in stock again. Just wish I knew when that would be. Seems everyone is out of stock and, those who aren't, are price gouging.Until then, I have a dead rig and it's just before Fallout 4 and Battlefront are released. My heart aches.I'm not counting ASUS out yet. Their support has been great and we'll see if the replacement mobo resolves the issue. I really really really hope it didn't damage my i7 6700k processor.All in all though, the board is gorgeous and installation was cake. I haven't had any issues with Win 10 drivers, software, or sound, as others have reported. If you do buy this board, make sure you get RAM that is compatible. Other reviewers have mentioned having problems with non-QVL memory (For those that don't know, QVL means Qualified Vendors List).Personally, I have 32GB of Kingston HyperX FURY Black (4x8GB) RAM which is non-QVL but I haven't had any problems with it, unless that is what has caused my mobo to die and no longer POST but I highly doubt it.

3 month update: Would change to zero stars if I couldAfter posting an identical poor review on newegg, I was contacted directly by ASUS support who offered the same terrible "solutions" as their other lackeys. This board is flawed, spend your money elsewhere. Pretty much all the other major brands (EVGA and MSI being the two best) have boards that work with all their features just fine, and REALLY good support.Last ASUS product I ever buy. This company is garbage.Buyer beware if you intend to use this with a samsung 950 pro or similar. The m.2 slot does NOT support m.2 mode, and will force your drive to boot in sata express mode. This causes the bios to double post and take a VERY long time to eneumerate everything.There are several posts about this on asus' forums, with everyone on there getting terrible responses from ASUS' equally terrible tech support. I have personally been stonewalled quite a few times by techs that didn't know anything, and kept telling me to clear cmos over and over again.If you intend to use a board with a 950 pro, go elsewhere, asus lies about their support and has no intention of fixing it, and their tech support in general is just horrible. If it hadn't already been 60 days by the time I got the 950 pro and found out about this, I would have returned this thing and bought EVGA. At least their support knows what a motherboard is.AISuite 3 is also loaded with problems and is mostly recommended on the forums to never be installed on your system. Hope you like doing your fan settings changes from bios.The temperature probe on the motherboard that it uses for cpu control will be as much as 15C off in one direction or another, depending on load. At idle, it will show up to 15C higher than your actual core temps, and at load, your actual temps can be 15C higher than it reports. This makes setting fan speeds more difficult.Overall, go buy another brand, and leave asus alone to get their act together.-------No setup issues here using ram on the QVL list. Quick and easy, just like it should be. Audio quality on this board is GREAT.

Pour le prix payé, cette carte mère est du très haut de gamme.La qualité de fabrication est là, et les fonctionnalités nombreuses permettent d'assembler un PC de compétition.Celle qui m'a été livrée avait un bios mis à jour, ce qui m'a permis de démarrer directement avec un i7-7700K.A l'allumage, un peu de bleu avec des led sous le cache du chipset.C'est sympa et discret.Aucun problème pour la mémoire après avoir utilisé le bouton MemOK. Le bios ASUS est splendide et il va me falloir un peu de temps pour utiliser touts ces fonctions, car je compte bien overclocker, étant refroidi en watercooling "costaud".Il y a huit ports SATA utilisables ou 6 si on utilise le port M2 qui est configurable en NVME. Pas de problème pour la quantité de port USB en 2.0,3.1 et 3.1 ultra rapide (avec même à l'arrière un port type c ....)Des prises ventilateurs toutes en PWM et gérables avec le soft fourni par ASUS au millimètre près.Bref, pour une carte haut de gamme, je ne vois pas pourquoi mettre plus cher !

Veramente il top di gamma delle schede video, asus non delude mai. L'interfaccia del bios è veramente bella, ben organizzata e piena di utilissimi strumenti, dal monitoraggio ai controlli (lettura delle temperature, impostazione delle modalità risparmio, standard, gaming, controllo delle ventole. Il bios oltretutto si aggiorna da solo tramite le utility che vengono installate da CD. è veramente ben fornita sia dal punto di vista del tipo degli attacchi che sul numero, ci sono almeno 6 porte sata, 1 m.2 sata, 4 slot ram ddr4 fino a 64 gb, l'attacco per il modulo wifi (veramente comodo), attacco delle ventole a 4 pin per il controllo automatico o su impostazione della velocità di rotazione delle ventole e davvero tanto altro consiglio a tutti di andare sul sito della asus per apprezzare tutte le specifiche. Questa è una scheda madre che ha il suo costo ma li vale tutti.

30Hz　3840*2160　出力はできるのですが、60Hz　3840*2160　出力にすると画面が真っ暗になります。DP出力ではOKだし、DP出力をHDMIに変換して表示も可能です。ディスプレイはACER CB281HK、DLT W40DUHTの2種試してみましたが、2種とも同じ症状でした。ちなみにZ170-DELUXは3枚試してみましたが3枚とも似たような症状でした。テックウィンドにボードを送って試してもらいましたが、現象不再現ASUS PA328Qでは表示できるとのこと。ディスプレイを送るので試してほしいとお願いしましたが拒否されたので、これ以上の原因追及はできませんでした。その後ASUSTek GTX950-2Gを増設してこれの出力で試したところ、ACER CB281HKでもDLT W40DUHTでもHDMI 60Hz 3840*2160表示できました。マザーとディスプレイとの相性でしょうか？このディスプレイなら表示できたとか、設定を変えれば大丈夫とか、情報を持っている方おられれば教えてください。1016/12/12 追記こんな使い方は皆さんあまりしないと思うので役には立たないかもしれませんが、不具合と対策がわかりましたので書いてみます。Z170-DELUXのM.2ポートにSamsung SSD 256GB 950 PRO を取り付けてＣドライブとする。ＣドライブにWINDOWS7 HOME 64をクリーンインストール、付属CDからドライバ関係インストールSP1までアップ。SATA6G_3,4,5,6にST8000AS0002を接続し、コンピュータの管理－＞ディスクの管理　から　4台一組のストライプボリュームを作る。（Ｄドライブ）Ｄドライブに共有フォルダを作り、ネットワーク経由で外部から、アクセス。このＤドライブから別のパソコンに向かってファイルをコピーすると、30分～2時間くらいで、フォルダにアクセスできなくなり、コピーができなくなる。Z170-DELUX上でもファイルやフォルダが部分的に見えなくなり、再起動しないと正常にならない。再起動時「windowsをシャットダウンしています」画面のまま進まなくなってしまうので、電源ボタンを4秒押しでoffする。その後起動するとＣ，Ｄドライブのチェックが入る。イベントビューアでは、RAIDポート0にリセットがかかったログが複数出ている。iastorA イベントID　129メモリやHDD、SSDは単体チェックで問題なし。HDDをもう一つつないで（Ｅドライブ）Z170-DELUX上でＤドライブ－＞Ｅドライブへのコピーは問題なし。iastorAから当たりをつけてIRSTのバージョンを14.0.0.1143にするとERR出なくなった。14.5.0.1081でもOK14.8.1.1042だと現象再現する。15.2.0.1020も現象再現する。－＞このバージョンはIRSTの現時点の最新版。IRSTを削除すると現象発生しない。チップセットのRAID機能を使わないならIRSTは必要ないので削除で使うことにする。
