Danby DDR30B3WP Premiere Dehumidifier, 30 Pint, White

Unit was 19 months old and use daily in a motorhome. Started giving error code EC (compressor error) Contacted customer service and was advised the temperature fluctuation was too great. I was told by CS it needs to have a more stable temperature environment. Based on my temperature monitor the tempertature would change in any give 24 hrs. +/- 5 degrees. The highest temperature reached in the motorhome was recorded at 85*. The operating range for the unit is 40* F to 95* F. CS suggested a hard reset but that didn't work. Unit worked great while working, but I would think the unit should last longer. It even has a continous dehumidifying setting??? Purchased a new unit from another manufacture.

The humidity in this house was running between 60 and 75%, and since it was too warm for heat and too cool for the air conditioning this caused a big problem. The dehumidifier arrived, unpacking and setup was easy, and wow, within 5 hours or so, the unit shut off as the tank was full. I love this thing, am still impressed by how it wrings all that water out of the air in here. Much easier to sleep and my doors and windows open and close much more easily. I really don't know what I did without it! One thing, the tank does not sit flat, so you cannot set it down after removal, but I have not found that to be a problem. Great product, if you are thinking of this model, don't hesitate.

Going on three years, runs all summer in the RV both during storage (drians into sink) and during camping (using internal water container). Just a bit on the noisy side for sensitive sleepers (says wife) but doesn't bother me. Well worth it, no more waking up sticky with wet windows!

This unit is great in our RV. We have found that the dehumidifier has made humid climates more manageable when we travel. This unit is quiet and also helps reduce the need for our air conditioners as the reduction in humidity is often all we need.

The _only_ problem I have is that we have to face it away from the wall since the air is pulled in from the back primarily. So, we don't get to enjoy the nice and clean looking front of it. But, this thing does a great job at what it's designed to do and is nice and small compared to some others.

I will start by saying this product performs well and I have no complaints there. I also like the design of it and that's the main reason I chose this unit over other similarly-spec'd units from competitors (I imagine they all perform similarly).Here's the thing I can't stand, though. The programming on this machine is dumb. When you set the humidity setting at a certain number, it will keep turning on/off/on/off when it hits that number. You'd expect some threshold so that it takes the humidity slightly below the set number, or allow it to rise up slightly higher than the set number in order to prevent the unit from switching on and off rapidly. I use it in my bedroom and the constant on/off is keeping me up.

This dehumidifier is used in my RV and does a great job. I live in a damp and rainy environment where moisture is a constant issue. I also live in my RV so there is additional environmental moisture concerns. This device works great to control the moisture of an occupied RV of 357 sq ft.

Great price, but this guy has too tight of a humidity tolerance and only turns off for a minute when it reaches the desired humidity.
