Great protection for the shooters ears. I have put them to the test.
I really love my new electronic hearing protectors. You can hear well using the adjustable volume control. When someone is shooting a really loud weapon in the indoor range I quickly lower the volume and my ears are protected.

The good: Works very well at the range and protects my ears well. Is very comfortable to wear for long periods. Definitely makes talking and communication better under those circumstances. Protection is adequate. The bad: The amplification in the woods is not exactly helpful. The processing amplifies surrounding sounds but unfortunately the frequencies it amplifies can be annoying. Wind noise and traffic noise from afar really get picked up yet frequencies like leaves rustling not so much. Finally, why a one size fits all head band? I have a large head and the bottom of the cups are not centered on my ears and there is no way to adjust for that.
