These were great for the money.

I am finding these to be perfect for my indoor herb garden. Using a high quality potting mix, and, watering twice daily seems to be the key for good germination. Basil, dill, sage, peppermint, really, every herb I've tried, sprouts and grows strongly. Also, it makes for a compact way of bringing the herbs into the kitchen when needed. A key point in the design is, soil does not become waterlogged since it drains into a secondary tray.

The product picture shows 3 different colored planters, green, orange, and brown. I received 3 brown planters.Disappointing, but not a deal breaker. It's a good item, I've used them before.

I live in a studio so space is very limited, but these were the perfect fit for my window sill. I have a couple of different herbs in each one and then a line of spinach in the third. They're perfect for what I was looking for.It's important to note that you need to pair plants that need the same amount of moisture as I made that mistake the first round. I paired lavender (wants dry overall) and basil (which thrives in damp), so I had to change that up. I never realized how convenient it is to have auto-watering planter pots till I got these. It's so nice to water and be done with them and still watch them thrive/grow. Great purchase.

I got these pots a few months ago. Wanted to plant some indoor herbs.They looked great on the photos, and seems to be ok. After a few months, here are some of my experiences.- Double layer is great, help to keep the pot drained, and still have reserved water if too dry.- Very good material, great quality. these are not those super thin plastic, with a cheap feel to it. This is very durable, and good thickness.- The little window to see the amount of water in the outter pot is great, I don't have to keep opening the pot to see how much water is left. Very smart design.- The size, after been using it for a while. I realized that this is too small. Since there are 2 layers, the inner pot is actually not that big at all. It not deep, or wide enough to grow anything that's more than 6 or 7" in height. I grew some green onions, basil, and etc. Just in about 2 to 3 months, their roots just outgrew the pot. I had to move them, else they will start to die off. So keep that in mind.Overall this is an open pot, but just keep to be sure how big is the plant you are trying to grow in it. Anything that's small, cute, and won't grow too fast are great for this pot. I wish they made them in different sizes. Something a little bigger will be much better for my needs.

these are very nice for keeping my plants watered. im usually very busy and this helps my newborn plants get the water they deserve and need. i just need to check the little window on the side and the rest of the pieces fall in easily. im very pleased with this purchase and i will recommend it to my family and friends who are also trying to grow plants and worry about forgetting to water them or over watering 😊 the pot itself feels sturdy and i was even able to carry it around the house a few times with ease even with the plant and water inside.

I bought these to re-pot my shop bought herbs that have outgrown their pots.The planters arrived in the Amazon box with no other packaging or instructions so I’m assuming I’ve threaded the cotton correctly. So far they seem ok, only used the one so far and haven’t filled the water reservoir so it will be interesting to see if they can keep plants alive for a week, but fingers crossed for them

ordered a 3 pack... one of the exterior moulds has a 40mm x 1mm gap because the window part was not attached properly so it will not hold any water rendering it useless... There's also excessive plastic that I assume would have been cut away if it had been moulded correctly. Should never have left the factory floor as it's clearly a reject.Update, Seller will not send a replacement and will at best only offer a 30% refund which makes no sense. Better off getting the £1 troughs and putting some gravel in the bottom.

They don't come with many instructions but these self-watering pots are very good value. I've just grown my first set of radishes in them. The see through reservoir is a great help. The opening to the water reservoir is quite narrow so you need to use a funnel or pour carefully. The instructions are limited so you need to know that you need the white strips of fabric to trail in the water and be fed through the gaps.

These r really good. Bit much for plastic but still they do the job. And with the water at the bottom, makes it easier for them to get enough water.. I'm currently growing morning glory (just started to flower) and cherry tomatoes (no tomatoes yet but it's getting tall and proud. I have one left but need soil. Oh and these r on my window sill not outside. Plenty of sun too if anyone is in the same position as me with no garden. Will be getting more. And replacing the gross metal ones with no holes in the bottom, they just help make mouldy looking leaves . .... deffinetly worth it for newbies too. I'm still learning. U know ur getting old when u get excited over the first flower on ur plant haha..

So impressed with these so far. So much so, a bought a second set. I have a small, unheated greenhouse on my west-facing balcony. It gets a lot of sun on hot days and I can’t keep up with watering. Potted my herbs in these and the soil stays perfectly and evenly moist at all times. Even in this hot spell we’ve been having over the last couple of days.
