Solid paddle that gets the job done
Been using this paddle for a while now and it’s been great. Feels sturdy in the water, lightweight enough for longer trips, and the grip feels comfortable. No cracks or loose parts even after a few solid uses. Definitely a good buy for the price. (86inch)

Equal in quality to a Pelican paddle
I bought this paddle for several reasons, one being its bright green color. Besides looking good on my kayak (especially once I get more green accessories), it can also get attention from boats passing by to help make sure I’m seen on the water, for safety reasons. I bought a 240cm paddle to downsize from the 250cm Pelican Poseidon Angler that I had previously bought. One thing I learned was if your paddle is the wrong size then it causes all sorts of problems. The Pelican was too long and was fatiguing my shoulders to use it. I tried my wife’s 230cm and it was much better but felt just too short so I went in the middle with a 240cm and it worked out perfectly. I chose this Ocean Broad for the value, the cost was very reasonable, and it appeared to be of good quality just looking at the pics, and when it arrived it did not disappoint. This Ocean Broad is every bit the same quality as the Pelican paddle. The two halves snap together firmly and do not wobble. The blades are made of a stout poly material and do not flex during use. One thing I like about them is that they do not have the drip notches carved into them that the Pelican paddle does, and that is another reason I got it. The Pelican was slinging water on me due to those notches, bypassing the drip rings altogether. I noticed if I used it upside down then it was better, so I when I was looking for a new paddle I knew I wanted one that just had smooth edges. This Ocean Broad was the one, it does not have those notches and does not sling water on me like the Pelican did. The smooth blade edges combined with the drip rings on the shaft work together to prevent that. The water runs along the edges of the blades until it contacts the drip rings and then it drips off at a different angle, falling back into the lake instead. I slid the rings all the way down to the ends of the shaft next to the blades to stop water drip before it gets over my kayak. The rings themselves are made of a hard rubber, not like those whanny, squishy little cups found on some other paddles. They are very durable. This paddle also has shrink wrap grips to hold onto, and they provide a good grip even when wet. Also the shaft does not have the flattened, oval area for the right hand grip that a lot of other paddles have. To me, I like this better, I prefer a round shaft to grip for both hands. Weight is what you would expect. It’s not as light as a fiberglass paddle costing $100 but it certainly is not heavy either. I used it for 3 hours straight on the first trip out with it, and I did not get tired. This is a long review for a low cost paddle, but I just wanted to describe it to let others know who might be skeptical of it based on that low cost and seeming lack of features that higher cost paddles have. To me, this is what makes it desirable. It’s got all it needs to make a dependable paddle for traveling way up the lake with no worried about getting back, and to make that trip enjoyable. The fact that it’s easy on the wallet is a bonus.

Great paddle
Bought these years ago, they have lasted and perform great and are light weight compared to some others I have used.

Great entry level paddles
Good price for durable, easy-to-use paddles for entry level paddling. Did not find these to be much of a downgrade compared to much more expensive paddles we had years ago. The drip guards don't seem to do a lot to keep you from getting wet, but that is pretty standard fare across any paddle I have tried. My only complaint is that the black paint chipped a bit almost immediately at the middle where the two parts push together. Otherwise these are a nice purchase.

Excellent Price To Value
I've been kayaking for many decades and I find these paddles to be very good especially for the price. They are lightweight, very stiff, you can feather them, come in two pieces for portability, have drip rings, have a light rubber foam grip for slip resistance, and come in a variety of colors. (For safety reasons I recommended a bright color, not black.) The wider your kayak the longer your paddle should be so order wisely. I also have a carbon fiber paddle for my surf ski and that cost hundreds. I bought four of these for under $100. You can't beat that. Highly recommended.

Well made
This is well made and has not gotten weathered and wierd. Super strong but lightweight. Still using every time on the water.

Good price and quality seems good.
I have not tried these yet as I bought them in the winter. However, they seem nice and secure and I expect them to work well. I am a newbie to Kayaking and did not want to spend a lot of money. Good price.

Duck yes
I bought this for my son who recently received a duck hunting kayak. I could’ve spent $140 on a paddle. But this one seemed just as good and 10 times cheaper.

The quality is excellent, and the paddle feels sturdy and well-made. Although it's a bit long for some paddle board bags due to being a two-piece design, it's a great trade-off for the durability and performance it offers.

Happy with this paddle. On par with other entry level paddles I have used including name brand ones.

Handle coating way more comfortable than bare metal, drip rings work well, sturdy enough but not heavy
