I purchased the version with the strainer that raises up at the touch of a button. It not only makes it easier to reach the food in the soup, but it also keeps the bottom of the pot a little bit cleaner, so you have less clean-up work at the end.Having the heating element in the center, rather than heating up the whole bottom portion, is brilliant. The push buttons are very easy to use, and there's no heat nearby to pose a risk to your fingers.It is very easy to adjust the temperature. We put it on High when we first put the meat in the pot, to get it cooked, and then move it down to Low to keep it warm while we eat. It is much easier to operate than any hot pot I've experienced at a restaurant.Excellent size for 2-4 hungry people. Don't fill the broth all the way to the max line at the beginning--you need to leave room for your meats and veggies.

We have hot pot parties all the time, and this hot pot is always a hit! The dual-sided feature is awesome because we can do a spicy broth on one side and a mild one on the other. It heats up super fast and stays hot the whole time, and temperature is easily adjustable.We've used it a ton, and it still looks and works great. The nonstick interior makes cleanup easy, and the 5-quart size is perfect for feeding a group without being too big to store.If you love hot pot or like hosting, this is definitely worth it. It’s reliable, easy to clean, and a great value for the price. I’d definitely buy it again!

I’ve wanted to purchase this for a while and very happy with it. Versatile for many meals and just the right size for one. I like the stainless steel. Would prefer not a coated material on the grill but it does work great! I’ve used several Aroma products and all good quality. Thank you.

Appears well-constructed, as expected from Aroma. The somewhat-compact size is great because it doesn't take up as much room, but my 3" wire-net fishing spoons were a bit too large to not be awkward (not able to place spoon horizontally in either moat, had to instead slant the spoons at almost 45 degrees); i can see how the hot pots with a more linear divider running down the middle of the pot might work better, whereas this one enables people to more easily access both compartments from all sides of a four-person table. (We didn't really need two compartments, as hot sauce was available to use after the product was cooked. If you're not-strict kosher or vegan, I can see how two compartments might be important.)Definitely gets hot. My gadget-oriented adult son almost got seriously burned because he was confused about how to set it up, so be careful.Moderate weight, no surprises. Moderately easy to clean. I expect it to operate as expected for a long while since Aroma products seem to hold up pretty well. Good basic product that may deserve 4.5 stars, but I wasn't over the moon about my experience vs occ past experiences over the decades.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this pot for almost 5 months and I LOVE it! It gets quite hot (the broth will come to a boil, as seen in my video) so I put a wooden cutting board under it so it isn’t sitting it directly on the table. But that’s not really a complaint, just an FYI to others. The feet on the pot do leave scuffs but so far I’ve been able to clean them all off.We use this for hot pot and it’s a great size for 2-3 people. I haven’t tried with 4, but I think it would still be good, just need a few more rounds of food! I haven’t had any issues with the functionality of this pot at all. No leaking, easy to clean with soap and hot water, and not too difficult to store. I keep it in the box it came in and all I have to do is pull it out and plug it in. Very easy to assemble and I’m so happy with my purchase!

Works very well. The grill is perfect when cooking for one or two. The pot works in a wide variety of applications.

Incredibly useful kitchen “gadget”…the name “whatever” should give you a sense of how versatile this is! I can cook a whole meal for two without messing up the cooktop or grill! Boil, saute, steam, grill, hotpot, hot dips…you name it! It also looks cute!
