i have had much trouble finding shoes that fit, i stopped wearing shoes back in 2006,and have only worn sandals since,i have a high instep, and wide curved feet (allegedly between 3-4w) (my foot measurement in cm is 27 x 12)a couple years ago i was inquirring on forums about my need for better winter foot gearand someone suggested i look at these jikatabi...wish i would have got these back theni asked above if these would fit a 12cm width, seller says thier 10.7cm,im glad i had already made the purchase, cause i may have not done itthey are a bit snug, bare foot with the insole, but i removed the insoledonned my thick accrylic winter socks and the shoes fit just fineeven with NOT having split toe socksalso removing insole makes these have some real decent tactile sensory between foot and groundand help promote walking ball (front) first, instead of heel firstthe only thing that would make these better for me is if they were permenantly waterproof (while still having similar look/feel material)and if i could curve them inward slightly to accomodate the outter curve of my footif i remember, ill update on how they hold up to a wisconsin winterupdate; ive diy'd a few socks into split toe, they do feel better then regular socks in these,and ive been sticking to my thinner cotton "ankle socks" (they come higher though and barely peek out the top of these shoes)after the incedent bellow, ive been keeping the insoles inside, they are a bit snug, but not uncomfortabletried to wear these w/o insoles x-mas eve, bad idea, the cold cut right through the sole,cold feet was the extent of my issues though. (pack snow and a 1hr car trip no heat)id bet if one used a custom (diy) felted wool insole, the cold transfer would be eliminatedno problems shovling for 20 mins (no wind chill 30F< ) or general wear, my feet stay warmif these run the same width at 27.5 i would get the smaller size, and my only "problem" would be the snug fitwhich is probably fixable by cutting in a couple small sections of stretch denim,but im not capable of the quality id demand in such a modlastly, im not particularly in love with the tab closure, maybe a zipper for the majority then 2 tabs at the topstill the best money ive spent in years though, hope i can find a sandal hybrid for warm weather

Although the product box was ripped up and they seem to have been worn before, it didn't stop me from removing the cushioning and washing them (which made them fit better guess I ordered a size too big, got a 29 and should of got a 28? I can wear a size 13 US but consider my feet an 11 or 12.). With the cushioning removed it definitely is foot-to-ground and you should beware of when you jump onto curbs/etc as there will be no support and your feet must be able to take it.These are great for around the house and out-doors, no more stickers in the feet and you can wear them anywhere!The tabs are no problem you just slip them into the cotton rings, how hard is that?

I bought these for my costume at the ren faire, my main complaint is that they didn't have a 10.5. I bought the size 11 which was still comfortable to walk in, but having it fit more snugly would've been a more satisfying experience. Never felt uncomfortable wearing them even though they don't provide much arch support. Would recommend.

My first tabi shoes. I got them because my usual slippers were cumbersome and hard to walk up and down stairs in. The articulated toe takes some getting used to and the soles have no support but for everyday indoor tasks they are flexible, warm, and well cushioned.

I got this for practicing and performing with a Japanese music ensemble. The fit was just a bit large but they stay on and are comfortable. Since they are newer (worn a dozen times or so) they still squeak on some floor surfaces but that should go away as they age. Overall I'm happy with them. The one negative was that it seems like their construction may not be the best, but I have had no problems with them.

Shoot. I'm usually a US 11 (sometimes larger depending on brand!) but the shoes I got were too large. When they are too large the clips don't stay fastened. I probably could have returned it for the correct size but I was testing them out in the field and already damaged them (my fault).

Grandson is delighted and they fit his big flat feet. The fasteners at the ankle are cool and easy. Really no complaints after 72 hours. They seem sturdy.

these tabi last long and fit better than any other brand of tabi on the market.the short ones are much cooler and better suited for martial arts then the longer ones so be sure to get these if you do a lot of tameshigiri outside.Roninkan.com

Excuse bad grammar.I bought this as i'd ordered the wrong size in the Calf High Rikio Fighter J-Tabi and found the leg closure while still fastenable was very tight, Didn't care to go through sending it back as it fit okay for walking.With these you dont have that problem as these are around 3 - 4 inches above the ankle and i can close the Kohaze comfortably without the fear of bending or tearing anything.Now if you are a Barefoot runner/Minimalist runner and you want a cheap high quality shoe then you have found it. This shoe folds pretty much like paper so it can be stored anywhere since it is constructed from a very flexible rubber sole and cotton material which folds into itself. Remember this shoe has a removable insole/Cushion with an annoying heel lift which puts your heel higher than it should sit, I would cut the orange foam off the heel lift so that you don't put extra strain on the material.For anyone wondering i am a size 9 so i bought the size 27.5 and they fit good with the insole, Next time i will order 27.0 as removing the insole will net some toe space which can be solved wearing thick socks. Be prepared to break them in as they can be incredibly squeaky. once broken in however, They are incredibly quiet and i have amazed my self running past farms on my forefoot strike to hear absolutly no noise at all :D I recommend lifting your legs from the knees for minimal noiseRikio fighters i ordered 29.0) and they felt like wearing a size 11 clown shoe.. Gut verarbeitet, das Material stinkt nicht und leiert nicht aus. Dieses Paar hier werde ich vorerst nicht für den Kampfsport missbrauchen sondern als Hausschuhe. Sie halten warm und ermöglichen ein sehr gute Beweglichkeit. Aus meiner Sicht sind die sogar besser als die gewöhnlichen Indoortabies.
